Well we don't, but I was under the impression that he wanted first team football. He's just been on the bench in the most recent Spurs games and coming on for the odd game here and there. If Spurs also bring in another forward then Keane will most likely move even further down the pecking order their, so it would be in his best interest to find a club where he will get regular first team football.

 

yes i know, he is being wasted down at spurs, harry prefers the others strikers instead. i still think keane is better than defoe and crouch.

as much as this is from a rag, it highlights redknapp is in the hunt for a striker, Keane's said that he doesn't expect to have to leave the dublin training camp, that doesnt meant it wont happen

I feel sorry for Keane (although he is crying all the way to the bank). He is in a kind of trap that he has a wage and fee that is based more on what he was a couple of years back, not on the guy with chronic injury issues on the slide that he is now. Dont get me wrong he is still better than any SPL striker but he is in decline. He is also 31 next birthday. I think he would be worth a punt at about 3-4 million and a 2 year contract on about £30,000 but no more for a guy in decline with dodgy knees no matter how good he is. Problem is he has golden handcuffs and I dont think anyone would pay him anything like his existing terms ever again. I would probably consider another years loan too but only if we didnt have to pay more than half of the crazy wages he is on.
