He showed how good he is tonight, against quality midfielders, goal apart.

I suspect he was putting himself in the shop window tonight - and defo did it.
Would not be surpried to see a 5m+ bid come in for him in Jan, hopefully not though - get him to win the league for us this season at least then sell him :50:

He was outstanding tonight really, didn't give the ball away as much as...anyone else I don't think, even Stokes and Forrest who normally have good touch, well that control just deserted them tonight, but the thing is when Kayal loses the ball he bursts his lungs to win it back.

Yeah he gives away a lot of freekicks and gets yellows but i'd rather have someone get yellows for trying a little too hard than for diving or cheating or something, like the Spanish and Italians are masters at.

I agree with ppl saying he needs to be better going forward, I think naturally he would like to be more up the park threading great balls into the box and popping off shots like the one he scored against Dundee last year, but Lenny tells him to hold back and keep it simple with sideways passes because of the dire need to protect the defence.

Very good to see Beram back with the hunger and fire in him though, a few more like that and we'll have this league easy :50:

thought kayal was immense tonight through the game probably looked like the only player from our team who could get a game with them.

One of the best midfield displays I've ever seen from a Celtic midfielder yntil he shat himself and cost us the game, how do I sum that up? * knows?

I'm still really a bit surprised at all the positive remarks he's getting. I'm pretty * off at him right now to be honest. Guess that's cause I don't think it was a mistake that he ducked, I think he crapped it. Plus he's annoyed me with his comments in the paper. Look what Jelavic saying the league was over has done for us! Kickstarted our season. Now he could have just done that for them.

He was superb tonight, showed he can mix it up with the best. Yes he shouldn't of ducked underneath the ball, but a good goalkeeper would have kept that out. Just surprised it was him that ducked out of the way of it, one of the last players I would expect to see that from.

Anyway great performance the night Beram, keep it up :50:

He was MOTM for me in his play.
Lets be honest whether or not he attempted some stupid way to head the ball to me he shat it and didn't fancy either heading the ball or taking a block in the chest. The reason i think he shat it is because he knew he shat it and he was like a man possessed at times in the second half trying to make up for the mistake.

It was a bad mistake and he tried to make up for it, something i hope every player tries to do after a mistake. yet i can't help but think if it was someone else in the team who did the same thing they would get slaughtered for it.

Kenny will defo come in for him in Jan as Lucas is out for the season. If Liverpool are prepared to pay 35mil for Carroll then we should get at least 10mil for Kayal and I still believe that would be a bargain for them. He is better than Stan was imo. We really get to see how good a footballer he is when he is beside Vic as Vic takes the main defensive role allowing Kayal to get forward that bit more.

What previous does he have of pulling out of anything?

He had a split second to make a decision, he made a mistake. That's about it.

Wish folk would STFU about him 'crapping / *' it. It was hardly a thunderbolt!

He made a mistake by either thinking it was going out, or that Forster was right behind him. OR... Forster gave him a shout! Whatever it was... he didn't get out of the way because it would 'sting'!

After re-watching the game, he was actually better than I first thought.

He can be proud of that performance. Again, there's no way he shat out.

I actually think he tried to header it and got his positioning wrong. Its mad how one commentators opinion can change so many others

its in split seconds we find who have the courage and guts and those who are on the organ donor list waiting on a spine.....he chickened out of a sore belly. the guy was immense last season...this season he's turned into peter grant...all pointy and shouty...but one very average footballer.

if Liverpool do come in for him as Lucas is injured we should bleed them dry. £35m for Carrol. they can fork out half of that for Kayal and still be getting a good deal. think he could make the jump quite easily. look at Adam.

if he does go, which i don't want to happen, i have no doubt it'll be for a bigger fee than McGeady and that we'll get in a great replacement as Lennon hasn't put a foot wrong with his midfield purchases imo.

Utter, utter *. If you can't see how good he was last night you are watching the game with an agenda against him.

He had a second to think 'what will happen if I make contact with this ball?' He came to the conclusion, wrongly, that it would have done more harm than good. That was it.

Even when he went through his bad patch this season, looking disinterested and playing in 2nd gear, he never once shirked a tackle or jumped out the road of anything. You simply cannot lay that at his door, it is completely untrue.

Thought he played brilliantly over the 90mins and couldn't really ask much more of him. As to the goal incident... it's just a mistake, players will make mistakes and Kayal makes very few, it's just unfortunate that this one cost us a goal. Hope it doesn't weigh on his mind as I think he is going to be a real influential force in our drive towards the title this year.

Thought Kayal was immense last night. Apart from the goal, where I think he went to head the ball and misjudged it, he hardly put a foot wrong. Made loads of tackles, went on some great runs and bossed the midfield. Back to his best for me.
