Hes had a great first season. A real find but i think he needs to get his feet back on the ground. Getting a bit big for his boots by the looks of things !

Earlier this year someone posted the salaries on here and he was not on 8000 a week. Even if he is it's good business to bump him well up so he is tied here for years and we get appropriate compensation for him.
All he said is want is looking for a new pay pack which is alread common knowledge and NL has said as much so what's your probklem?

To me the guy is entitled to a better wage, and I want to get him tied down so when the EPL does come knocking we get well compensated.

Spot on mate.....im actually really going off him at the moment. Does he deserve a new contract at £20k a week? No he * does not.....he played just over half of our games last season and he thinks he should be with the top earners at the club? Bullshit.....i like kayal as a player....thought he was fantastic when he played but his attitude is becoming ridiculous....Izzaguirre played a fantastic FULL season, you dont see him or his agent going on the way they are. Personally i would cash in on him now. Let him go down south to * bolton or Aston Villa where they are fighting to stay in the premier league. if you ask Stan Petrov im sure it was the best decision he ever made ....winning absolutly * all and hardly ever playing in europe! At the end of the day we have a contract with kayal and if any suitors want to match OUR value of him then i wouldnt mind seeing the back of him! A lot of people go on about samaras how he doesnt do it on the pitch etc etc....ill tell you one thing though...he shows fantastic loyalty and he is proud to play for celtic and us fans! Something beram kayal is severly lacking at the moment.

Who's to say it will ever burst? The league doesn't look like lessening in quality and demand. The beast just keeps on getting bigger. By the figures produced this week, the teams will continue to have money to burn. Consider how much QPR's season tickets went up by upon promotion to the league. Wasn't it something crazy like 40%?

Don't see an issue with Kayal here. Understandable when players like Loovens and Juarez will be getting paid double what he is, arguably the most influential in the team.

What your saying is very true. But footballers are greedy, greedy *.If I was on 8 grand a week playing with Celtic itd be my dream, but a lad from Israel doesnt give a *.If Bolton or some other * english team offer him 1grand a week more, thats where he'll go.Hes on contract with us anyway as it is so he should keep the head down. That stupid EPL does my * in when you see the money ordinary players get.Football is all about money and corruption. You can see that with Blatter and his chronies.

Every man and their dog knows that Celtic intend to offer Beram Kayal a new contract.

There is absolutely no need for him to go to the papers and come away with this pish.

I adore the guy but the whole "I love Celtic, I love their fans, but" thing is making him come across like a total mercenary.

    Sorry if i've been misleaded.

But didn't people from the club itself say the exact same thing about Birams contract getting a bump in salary?

Whats wrong with him saying that aswell? you work harder and play better - you deserve to get a raise.. not only in football but in life.. if you lot in w/e job you work in, being paid less then what you think you're worth based your production\importance to that company - would you not ask or except your manager to give you a bump in your salary and rightfully reward you for it?

You sure would - and if he wouldn't theres a pretty good chance some would even leave that work-place in search of another place who values them better.

It's not that he said "pay me or I leave", thats just putting words in his mouth by the silly papers - but theres nothing wrong with one of the most influential players in the squad with a pretty low salary to wish to be treated&valued better - and by better meaning earning closer to what he produces and brings to the squad compared to the rest of the players.

I think this is just the paper making something out of nothing. We all already knew he would be getting offered a new contract and i think we all accept he deserves it. When i look at that article i can't see one quote from Beram that suggests he has said Parkhead must pay up or risk losing him to England, all i can see is him saying that he likes it at Celtic and is currently in discussions regarding an improved contract. Such a misleading headline, i think this is just the usual nonsense paper talk.
