Hes on a long contract so forget it, he also said last week hes happy to stay here. How much is major profit if it means missing 10-12 mill for champs football and how much would it cost in time and money to try to find adequate replacements it would have to be silly money for us to accept anything for Kayal.

exactly m8 - we need to really evaluate what selling our best players does to the club - there are so many pros and cons and we need to judge what is the best for us....

Fergie can * right off! 9 mil is a
    Joke!

Kayal IMO is worth alot more. He's young and brilliant. How often do we get that?

Thta just an oppinion. Some may argue kayal could do what the players fergie has at the moment cant. I still think they have missed a good tough tackling defensive mid since keano. If you look at Scholes, Fletcher, Carrick, Gibson and Anderson their main real quality is their passing. Maybe with the exception of Fletcher who has improved his defensive side over the past coupleof seasons. There are rumours going about that Scholes is set to retire at the end of the season. So why not buy Kayal? He still has a lot to learn at a relatively young age. Every team would take a player who could improve the current squad and add depth.
Also Liam Miller wasnt bought by Fergie. Miller signed a pre contract bosman and left for nothing.

I would take no less than 9 million for Kayal but I suspect he could go for so much more due to the inflated prices down in England

i hope celtic would tell man utd where to go with a 9m bid, anything over 12m then thats different but i don't see man utd paying that for him so this will just be all talk again

Unfortunately the prices are inflated mainly between English clubs, when they try to sign players from elsewhere, they are not nearly as eager to spend I'm afraid.

lazy journalism again. Kayal has had a fantastic season, I think the guy is a real player, but he is unproven in Europe or EPL so I think it is highly unlikely that after 1 season in Scotland, Man U wil be spending around £10mill on him. This is down to his good form and ManUs lack of combative midfielders and the press putting the 2 together. Give us a break, he will be here next season, and hopefully for a long time to come.

agree with everything apart from the last point...if he plays like this for us next season in europe then a big offer will come in for him and the board will accept...let's just hope lennon and his backroom staff can find another gem from somewhere
