Manchester United - Beram Kayal linked with summer switch | Give Me Football

"It's very flattering and heartwarming but at the moment I'm concentrating on winning the SPL title with Celtic and playing for them in the Champions League next season," said Kayal when speaking of the Manchester United interest.

"I'm going to have to carry on working hard if I want to get to the top."

Named SPL Player of the Month in January, the Jewish Times claims a bid will be 'launched' in the summer as the Red Devils look to add depth in the centre of the park.

"Nobody will be surprised if Biram plays for a club of United's stature one day. But the most important thing for him at the moment is to win the SPL title," said agent Dudu Dahan.

don't see this happening...yet. if Kayal carries on the way his Celtic career has started then i can see this happening. not in the next window though. nor the next either. if he does carry on, my Ghod the price will be massive. more than double what Caught Offside suggests.

this would suit me fine. good money with a good replacement.

hope not, if kayal stays, he can become a legend at this club, along with many others in the current squad

Basicly it's just his family(first guy is his cousin, 2nd is his dad and 3rd is his mom.

They're talking about his move, how instantly he came and was a big hit doing great in games integrating with the team and the players, and how his preformences were acknowladged with awards aswell.

His cousin was talking about how when he walked with him in the street everyone would recognize him, and how he sorta became the presentor on the team and "the face" - when it comes to merchandise etc in stores and all, there he says theres pictures of him all around, and he's talking about how heart warming it is to see he's doing so good there so fast.

His mom was caught exactly when Biram was calling her, and she was asked who calls more, so she says "He calls me more.. he always tell me "Hey mom don't you care about me? interested to see how I am?" (in a joking tone ofcourse).

And as for the Manchester thing, thier name wasn't even mentioned, his cousin just said again how proud he is that his name is on the lips of people in the EPL - thats when they put the Fergie picture.

i'm a bit worried after reading this

    its says
"...And he didn't conduct himself very professionally in the closing stages of last season, when Haifa threw away the championship.

Kayal suffered a groin injury, and, seemingly with one eye on a transfer, he opted for immediate surgery rather than to wait for the summer and help his side in the final and most crucial matches of the season.

Furthermore, since last January when Haifa rejected a €1-million offer for Kayal from Standard Liege, the player appeared to lose interest in playing for his team, disappointing many supporters."

let's hope he shows more loyalty to us than he showed towards his former club.

i'm not trying to be negative here! i just found that article and thought i should share it with the bhoys and ghirls on this forum.

i know beram said he wants to stay and i hope he does stay until he's 30, when we'll sell him to real madrid for a new transfer record!

sorry mate I didn't mean that you were being negative ....just didn't come out right :54: I meant the overall tone from media sources since we finally got something good working for us instead of against us is usually the norm

since this is man utd, 8 million is too low, 15 million and then i would think about it but then again kayal is our midfield.

Celtic should stop the gossip by putting a £20 million price tag on each of Izzy, Kayal and Brown. If Celtic keep improving we wont need to sell anybody just look at the last 3 months the difference in the Celtic support, we are buzzing!!
Not only that with the away support we carry a lot of clubs will be saved from the administrator.:celt_2::shamrock::celt_2::shamrock:

the reality is most of these players signed for celtic with the view to it being a stepping stone to english premiership.......we have to realise that we are a selling club - if that means lennon taking a small financial chance and signing players who he believes can really improve the team like kayal and izzy - then selling them on for a major profit i dont think we can have too many complaints......

obviously the main thing is that we try our very best to offer them the best contract the club can afford to keep them and most importantly for me - we dont get short-changed and hold out for the very best price...

I don't see a problem tbh. He was looking after himself first and foremost.

For all we know, he could have aggravated it and been out for much longer if he'd played through the pain.
