It's a massive blow, but IMHO Wanyama can fill in for him alongside Ledley, with Ki as backup. The depth of our squad will help us through!

This is absolutely DEVESTATING! He is such a good player for us. Lee McCulloch should not have even been playing.

Well, that's the biggest contribution that animal is going to make to Rangers this season. Injure as many of your rivals possible. TYPICAL of that ANIMAL McCulloch, he does this ALL the time.

It's actually surprising it doesn't happen more often.

    DISGRACEFUL.

Get well Kayal, I hope it's sooner than expected.

Neil Lennon on Beram's injury and tackle.

"It was a good tackle by two committed players"

Spot on. McElbows is a *, but Kayal went in every bit as hard as he did. It's a crying shame, but with Izzy back, we can put Ledley and Wanyama in the middle. So in that respect, great player that he is, it's not a massive blow to us. Not like every time a hun is injured, we have the cover.

last line of the lennon interview "the result is that he needs surgery. we are not sure on the extent of it yet." could be back sooner.

reckon in the next OF game, big majstorovic in the 90th minute just breaks mccullochs leg in as many places as possible.

Not so much as a booking for McCulloch, either.

How, in the so-called "fast track" era of dealing with these things, can a player be sent off for violent conduct of all things at the weekend then be free to nearly break a mans leg the following Wednesday?

At the time of the tackle I though McCulloch went in with the intent of injuring Kayal. Having looked at the slow motion replays and the various pictures of the incident (including the one on the BBC website now), McCulloch is focusing on Kayal, not the ball. I still don't think it was a 50/50 challenge and to make matters worse, that * McCulloch shouldn't even have been on the park......

Could someone post a link to video of the tackle, please? I remember thinking at the time it was a bad one but have heard a number of people saying it was fair.

Huge blow. We need a CD more than ever now so that Wanyama can remain in the midfield. Ledley, Wanyama, Ki and Brown are good cover for the middle.

    I wouldn't go in for a 50/50 with McCulloch.

He's the type who is looking to break your * leg.

Lafferty & now Healy are also very nasty articles, with late challenges.

Fair play to Beram for going in at full speed, but he was only ever going to come out of it the worst for wear.

Rise above it, learn from it & move on more the wiser.

    Get well soon Sultan.

    That's not the point.

These animals go out of their way to injure better players than themselves (of which there are many). That's McCulloch's entire reason for playing - he has absolutely no talent as a footballer and does nothing more than try and break legs. The only reason his red card was appealed was so that he could do exactly what he did.
