You can see where she's coming from though, you hear the name Chantelle and it is usually neddy mums that accompany her and I'm sure we'd all like the best for our children and not to be surrounded by that environment.

She gave other examples, Tyler being the main one.
Nothing wrong with the name Tyler, or I think Brendan was another.
She showed a side of prejudice towards Celtic names which the other lady got offended by as she was from Irish background.

Fair enough chantelle and such names are horrific and aye might have chav parents. But to make a judgement on a child to have the name is ludicrous.

It's just a name ffs. Who cares? 300 years ago someone calling their kid Ian was probably laughed at and called a peasant. Times change.
Would you prefer if we were all still called George, Doris and Mabel?

The fact she was ranting about kids being called place names, then to find out her child is called India just shows you how much of a * she really is. It would have been even funnier if Phil or Holly said that they wouldn't want their child playing at a woman's home, who is well known for getting ridden like seabiscuit in a field. Why do they let these imbecile's on tele to spout their utter bile.

And to think that 9% agreed with her is even worse.

I'm gonna have to watch this at lunch time.

Tbh though, when I hear certain names, I do sometimes think they paint a picture of the sort of environment they come from. It's stereotyping in it's purest form but if I was to meet someone called Chantelle or Jayden or something like that, I'd probably imagine them as being chavs (or certainly have chavvy parents) compared with someone called Frederick or Toby etc being stuck up posh twats.

I think everyone must do that to an extent?

As I say though, I haven't watched it yet.

I wasn't the only one then!

Still, we all know who she is now, which I suppose was the whole idea of her saying what she did anyway.

    Surely not?

Won't be long until people have #s in their names and all sorts. Whatever happened to just giving your child a good * sounding name?

She was on 10 o' clock live (Channel 4) back when Thatcher died. It was the segment when David sits with a few 'celebrities' and an 'expert' and they debate. She spouted so much nonsense about how much good Thatcher did and also by helping break the glass roof for women (aye right:56:). Totally out of her depth when debating against the expert and sounded delusional. Didn't want to back down though, these people believe their opinion is gospel.

She obviously believes she is this strong intellectual woman, who is doing her bit to break the glass ceiling. What the * has she done anyway? Where has she came from to merit her performances on television shows?

Epitome of middle England as others have said.
