The most impressive thing for me is his passing, it’s absolutely class.

Getting serious Boruc vibes off the big man.

Huge personality, the way he spreads himself at the oncoming attacker.

His age, as already mentioned is irrelevant as well.

If I didn’t know who he was and you told me tonight he was 30 I’d believe you.

He's going to fall in love with this club as we will with him.

What about when he’s trying to save a shot?

I’ll reserve judgement on that for now.

His ability to spread himself is most important.

Ever say a word too often and it doesn’t look real anymore? Spread has fallen into that category this evening.

I got a feeling he'll be our most important player in Europe this season. Very promising signs from him.

Looking very promising so far but I'm not getting carried away just yet. We've still to see how he copes with having * all to do for 89 minutes then having to make a save from the opposition's one foray up the park in the dying minutes...

What a performance from that was yesterday from Schmeichel. Absolutely class, a string of top drawer saves and so comfortable and good with the ball at his feet.

He seems top drawer lot just the saves you could hear him talking his backline through the game. I was a little sceptical given his age but he is a class operator and doesn’t look to have lost it yet.

Even with the ball at his feet he knew when to play and when to get rid of it.
