You just knew he was going to be class when he was foiling Haaland out on his debut.

 

1st save vs Haaland. identical situations.

 

Did you see his face when the Champions League theme played. Totally blown away.

 

A massive presence on the pitch, regardless of where he plays. So calm as an outball as well.

Goosebumps from start to finish as soon as that song came on and the crowd let out that roar. * unreal

 

I have not commented yet on this thread, but his signing almost went unnoticed in the summer given the clamour for other signings.

He is an immense goalkeeper and I think will stay for the two seasons till we bed in the young chap.

A truly fantastic and inspired signing for the club. The guy is a great keeper, assured with his feet and a giant to have in the squad.

I pinch myself every time I see him as he has slipped seamlessly into the team. I don’t care what age he is. A fantastic player.

 

Really impressed with his distribution. Helped beat the press a few times in first half.

I genuinely think we've signed one of the best keepers in the world. I felt that way with Artur and for a spell with Forster too. Difference with Kasper is he's the first keeper we've ever had who can actually play out properly - what a difference it makes.

 

I loved when the champions league anthem was going. The crowd went so wild you couldn't even hear it, everyone trying to look composed and there he is just smiling taking it all in. Bet we blew him away. Some keeper. Better than his da.

 

How the * have we pulled this off

 

New format and the draw have been great for us. Loved playing Barca and similar but it's great to also have a wider pool of teams. Rodgers has also got us playing the game not the occasion, that's a huge part of it too.

 

Was surprised there were people who thought we shouldn't have signed him as he was the same age as Hart. A top notch professional and high quality keeper.

Gonna be an immense signing for us.

 

I find it weird how people are raving about him, because I still haven't seen enough to judge either way.

If we don't include friendlies (and I don't), then he's had a single good save to make against the Huns and he made it. Other than that, he's let in 2 goals that even prime Fraser Forster wouldn't have saved and made a few routine saves that he ought to be making as the Celtic goalkeeper: neither of these things tells us anything.

One thing's for sure: I'll know how good he is after the games against Dortmund and Atalanta!

He's been fantastic from day one and deserves every bit of praise He's getting. I think he'll be that good we'll even look to extend him beyond the current one year option we have. He's still world class.
