Really hope we get this guy, perfect replacement for Joe for a couple of years.

We need leaders.

How good is he now? I know he was an incredible keeper in his prime; but so was Joe Hart. Apparently, he is about 6 months older than Hart!

So genuine question: is he still any good?

And Laziness regarding the transfer.

It just shows how * our recruitment is, there is absolutely no way we had anyone lined up to replace Hart and this has come up last minute.

We should be planning for the future and yet once again we are failing to add to a position of strength.

This short term cover needs to stop.

 

Cannot wait for him flying the flag next season.

Excellent signing. Has a terrific CV, an EPL title under his belt, champions league and European experience, still Denmark's number 1.

It is lazy, I can see why people are a bit meh about it, but I think we need to sign another goalkeeper to fight for the jersey, and eventually replace Schmeichel, a kind of Zander Clark and Craig Gordon situation at Hearts, but with a higher level. Probably a keeper at a mid 20s or something to learn from and battle it out with Schmeichel.

If he is the only keeper in the door this window then that's * mental. But in isolation it's a positive signing in my eyes.

 

The only thing against him is his age..

A top keeper who's been first team in the Premier league and internationally for years so has a ridiculous amount of experience. Won the league. Won cups. Quality shot stopper. Very good with the ball on the deck. Leader. Vocal..

I'm happy with this signing when everythings taken in to account it's a smart signing with far more positives than negatives..

 

Nope it's not just you, first thing I thought too so that'll be schmichel and the midfielder Ndidi from Leicester both free.
Gotta agree with @Mr Shelby here though they've had 7 months and this is where we are, club's ran like a wet bog roll.

I made quite a reactionary response last night to the potential signing, which now seems a bit extreme.
I do think he's a good keeper and will be fine for Celtic.
I still have huge questions on the long-term recruitment process at Celtic, which is what my original response was based from.
A Progressive and elite European side does not recruit him.

 

Delighted to get Kasper in. He fills the leadership void left by Hart, but is also a significantly better goalkeeper. Adds an extra dynamic to the team with his distribution too.

 

I'd argue that some fans would have pointed to Anderlecht as an example of what we should be doing just a couple of seasons ago
