Good point. I've no idea what Brest are like for developing talent tho, but hope he does well. Just hope we dont live to regret letting him go, but time will tell

It'd be funny if Brest were Turkish and folk called them Brest of Turkey.

Not heard a peep about any other options either though. I know that Premiership teams stopped looking at him when it looked like he was getting older but not growing. Be interesting to see what happens.

Would love to know the real reasons Celtic let him go; poor attitude ? too small in stature? simply not good enough?

in the limited time he played in the first team he looked very good for his age; disappointing he never made it at Celtic he looked like the kind of exciting player that we all love to watch

KARAMOKO DEMBELE admits it has been challenging to deal with the intense hype that has surrounded him since he was a young boy.

The 19-year-old left Celtic this week after coming up through the Scottish champions' youth academy.

He burst onto the scene aged just 13, as viral videos of his incredible talent reached all corners of the globe.

The attacker was then fast-tracked into Brendan Rodgers' first team training at the time.

However, things didn't work out for Dembele at Celtic in the end.

He only made ten appearances for the club, with injuries also hampering his development.

Dembele has now signed for Brest in Ligue 1.

Speaking to French outlet Ouest-France, he insists it was an easy decision to make, as he revealed Ange Postecoglou wasn't a big fan of his style.

He said: "It's been very difficult for me. When you play so young, there is lots of pressure. It is what it is. I deal with it well.

"A lot of reasons I can not say but I think the manager didn't really like the way I played or saw something that was missing in my game.

"But I am here to prove what I can do. I am not sure why it didn't work out. But that is *'s plan.

"I am here to play as much football as I can, have fun and do my best. I am actually strong for my size but I don't think size matters in football. You have other qualities to compensate for size. Physicality has never been an issue for me.

"I like the way Stade Brestois 29 play and it is a good league. These are all the factors that came to me picking here. I like entertaining fans and having fun. I like to score goals and do all the things an attacker needs.

"I love the French culture and I watch a lot of French football, the big teams like Marseille and PSG. I have also watched a lot of Stade Brestois 29 so I know a lot about the team."

It will be interesting to see how he gets on in France next season with Brest but I don't think we have missed out here in not signing him to a new contract.

Scored the winner in Brest's last game. I think he'll be at a bigger French team by end of the season.

Really doesn't seem to be up to much in France, spends most of the time on the bench getting a few mins here and there.

Just too wee really, always seemed a worry as he was coming through, he always looked about 4/5 year younger than he is cause his size.

Even now at 19 you'd think he was about 14.

His injury came at the worst possible time, he would have finally been given game time (I think anyway), by the time he was back after Christmas new players were signed and a team built without him.

I have a gut feeling that he is a absolute * and that this is the reason he's not given game time. You can't be a decent * if you wear shoes and slacks like he have.

He was unfortunate with the injury as Ange was ready to give him a chance, then when he came back he expected to get straight back in but didn’t work hard enough for it. Where as Moffat, Doak and Vata all got a run out.

From that point his head was turned to leave anyway, he’d still be struggling for gametime here as well.

He should of taken a step down the leagues instead of going for a money move, hindering his own progress.
