His contract NEVER shouldve been in doubt.

Obviously if we've tried, and hes dead set against leaving... Nothing to be done. Except throwing money at him.

Anges comments werent exactly filled with optimism, which says to me his heads been turned, or hes wanting more than whats on offer.

But again, losing a talent like this will be a * sore one to take.

 

I sort of understand doak getting his head turned if the 12k a week figure is correct. If its 12k a week, the sign on fee alone must be a good amount aswel. Set for life with his first contract. Hard to say no. Dembele though may just stay. Dont know why but I have a feeling about him.

 

Aye I think Doak’s as good as gone.

 

I think the big difference is Dembele could play first team football regularly if it hadn’t been for his injury. Is he realistically going to play first team football at a better level than us just now?

Doak where he is abig talent he has just turned 16 and as others have said getting that amount of money thrown at you at such a young age then your mind is made up for you. Think about it in terms of your own job if someone went from offering you a decent wage to a wage that sets you up for life then you can’t blame the boy.

The likelihood is we will never hear or see of him again and his career will more than likely be non existent but he will have made enough money to set him up for life.

Love to see him get a chance, behind Abada on the right but would like to see him in front of Forrest for a bit. Forrest is far to inconsistent now and goes missing for most of the game.

Since he's been available he's been in a few match day squads. Think only the last two he's missed out as we've put him in to the b squad for these games to get him match time.

But yeah, he's been in the squads. Also been unfortunate that we haven't been coasting a game to bring him on much. But first chance we got the other game, he got on the pitch

Get him running about in a few b team games then I'd imagine there should be a game in the remaining fixture list that we see a good 2-0 HT lead where he can get involved in the second half.

 

cant coach that *, that is what he brings a touch of difference.
only turned 19 - in a few years time when he fills out and gains more upper body strength which is prob required for the league i think he can make quite the impact.
hopefully he gets some game time under his belt for the first team and makes an impression.

as sutton and larsson have said in the past - to play in front of 60,000 fans, be loved, play in europe, get media exposure etc etc - i blame agents nothing but blood thirsty people who love stirring the pot to create unrequired and unnecessary drama and tensions which can have serious impacts on the internal atmosphere within the training grounds.

Wee man was excellent, still so slight though and needs proper first team football to learn the physical side of the game a bit better. Hope he gets game time and realises this is the best place to advance his career.

 

Full of confidence and looking sharp as *, start him at the weekend if Abada isn’t fit.

We should be doing everything we can to entice him to a new deal. I think Abada will most likely be gone by the end of next season, so sign Dembele to a 4 and a half year contract and let him fight it out with him.

 

Really needs consistent games now, obviously has all the talent just needs to find the confidence. Couple of nice wee moments there.
