Karamoko Dembele!!

He's definitely thought about moving, it's why he never extended his contract. I can't blame him. At one point it looked like Lennon would give him game time but he then stopped even when we needed wingers with Jamesy injured and no left winger.
However him not playing this season isn't down to anything but injury. If we were 3 up against Dundee I think he comes on but the game was tight, as is the league.

 

Kinda see what you are saying. He is very young and hardly played a first team game, but anytime I have seen him I’ve never thought wow. Very early days so hopefully goes on to be a great player for us.

 

The wee boy who was a very promising youngster has turned nineteen today. Its time for him to make an impression on the first team. From the short appearances ive seen from him so far he looks capable but its time to step up and really prove he can handle first team football at Celtic.

Thought he could have provided something different today, would have given him the last 15, put Abada through the middle as Meada was offering nothing in any case..

Lack of subs and lack of game time for Dembele and the lines of Doak is frustrating.

Totally agree with this out of who we had on the bench although he is unproven he was probably the only one that could have beat a player and provided a bit of magic. The rest were defenders or defensive midfielders and Forrest who has been rotten.

 

Needs to start getting some game time, even last 15-20 mins of a game when we are struggling to score !!

 

When am I going to get a game ?

 

Before the game, I didn't expect to see him if we was struggling.

But as the game went on, you could see we needed to do exactly what you've said. Abada through the middle and move maeda to the right. Eventually replacing maeda.

The fact Ange didn't make a sub with Dembele is understandable as it's a big ask to get a young lad who's barely kicked a ball for us to come back from injury and save our *.
But the fact he never even brought forrest on, is just frustrating.
Fair *, Forrest can't change a game, but why bother having both these lads on the bench then, if neither was there to change a game if we was struggling?

Is this not where the B team becomes it a bit of a waste of time though is it not if a player makes 3 apps for the first team they are no longer eligible for the B team ? We've seen Moffat get a couple games then Doak was similar. Dawson got a game as well but that was more needs must

 

Wasn't aware of that rule, seems stupid for us and the young players development.

 

In fairness I'm not 100% sure but I think I remember reading that at the start of the season
