gotta be better and create more of an impact than forrest, he is regressing backwards atm
dembele was great in pre-season terrible luck, he has the certain x factor about him, hopefully ange can guide him
id love him to come on and play well and get in and around the team -

at least the game was in the cup and not in the league - hopefully a 'wake up and smell the coffee moment' living on a 3-0 win 2 weeks ago is dangerous.

every game is a final atm

Still tiny, same height as the corner flag. Thought he might have grew a bit as he's not been seen in ages but didnt look like it, last player of that size I remember was Rabiu Ibrahim.

    Same mate.

A few goals up against Dundee at home would be the perfect time to reintroduce him to the fold.

Reckon he’ll flourish under Ange if he’s given the chance.

messi / maradona / kyogo / lubo - all hardly big in height.
from what ive seen about him is that he has something different to his game, he can beat a player, has some trickery and you would pay to watch him.

but i get what your saying a team of small players esp in the attacking third isnt ideal for the cross ball / corner scenario.
he would be on for abada so pretty much like for like.
i am hoping jullien will start and the left back area addressed.

we should win but need to get the second goal cushion.

Not ahead of Forrest yet. But agree about X factor. Be ideal to bring him on instead of Forrest, whenever we are coasting

forrest looks lost he has been the last 12 months or so doesn't offer much these days and we dont have time for passengers. or even doak he looks lively

i liked the idea of getting albert gudmundsson - but he went to genoa a few weeks back - he played against us for az at start of the year.

we really miss a left back getting overlapping and creating assists etc since KT days.

We're gonna lose him if he doesn't start getting games, he's in the last few months of his contract and unless Ange starts playing him can't see him signing a new one

on the bench again on sunday, i think ange wants his to get mins - it is just a case of coming on when a game is pretty much sorted. Maybe he will get some minutes on thursday along with jullien.

Hard to give him any game time when the games have been so tight recently..

    Agree with the guys above.
He's been on the bench now, he's been in the plans/mind of the manager during pre-season.
Contrary to @Dannybhoy81 thinking he's been available for selection for the past 7 months, the lad is just back from a big injury and is straight back in to the match day squad.

Got to believe he will get his chance as and when we are well ahead in a game. Get his chance and prove he can handle the rough and tumble and I have no worries Ange will give him more competitive game time and starts as the season rolls on again.

if we manage him correctly and he is grounded he can be a key player in the team for future years.

i seen paddy roberts was on the bench for sunderland at the weekend, i felt a sense of sadness and I am sure paddy looks back and thinks about his time at celtic playing infront of 60,000, scoring goals, playing in europe etc. i dont think it was his fault per say i think city played hard ball and refused to let him go back to celtic etc.. but it shows the grass isnt always greener, dont taking playing for celtic as inferior, and be proud to play infront of 60,000, compete for titles and play in europe - dont let the agents get into young players heads (look at the lads we lost to germany last few seasons etc).

Have to question what he is showing in training.

I know that sounds harsh on him without context but if forrest is still making sub appearances ahead of him, he's not showing something to Ange surely?

Was showing as being injured mate.
He's barely been back in to first team training and has been on the bench last couple games. I reckon considering games have been tight, that's a decent progression. Harsh to expect him to come in to the games from the cold and make that sort of impact. Much like Julien, he will be managed and brought on when the games more comfortable and any * ups won't cost us badly.

We were never bringing him on at 2-2 with him just back from injury.

Think if we’d gone a few goals up the idea was to get him minutes in the legs.

he is only back from a serious long term injury - you cant throw him in at the deep end - look at kyogo when you throw players in not 100% fit.

Dembele has youth on his side and generally younger players can bounce back from injuries.

i think in games which suit and we are 2-3 up he will makes the changes to get those involved, look at doak, ange shows he will reward and not afraid to throw players in when needed etc.

forrest has contributed very little this season, I can see him being moved on in the summer.

To be fair I'm being harsh on the lad. I get that.

I want him to do well here...it would be amazing to see another young youth like KT come through the ranks and storm it for us.

I do worry if though, the lack of gametime he got under previous manager and this injury might have made him think about moving elsewhere.

Pretty sure he was gonna get game time yesterday, probably Julien too, if as expected we'd comfortably rolled over Dundee. However, yesterday was no place to throw 2 guys just returning from injury into the blender...
