the most damning was from the police themselves. talking about the coppers on the ground at the time, but makes you think why did it take all these years for the ordinary coppers to speak out.
    guilt maybe ??

    Just watched the documentary there.

Harrowing stuff; some sickening - yet not surprising - behaviour from the high ranking police officers and other establishment figures; and the real heroes like Phil Scraton and the families who fought so hard and for so long made for a truly stunning piece of film.

Thing is. He was in charge of the paper so he is the one ultimately responsible for the lies as he allowed them to be published so they should go after that *.

Would be another great gesture from our club.
The proceeds could go to help fighting the court case suing the pigs and that rat * of a paper the sun.

I just watched that last night as well. It was quite upsetting hearing the family and even members of the police talk about their experiences. That duckenfield * needs hung tbh, i was in complete shock when they showed you the view he had from the control box

Quite telling that know one from thatchers government are being brought up on charges, as they were complicant in the cover up at the start.
Also very surprised why the police officers who changed there statements at a later date aren't being charged, even if the where being put under pressure to doctor there statements they still knew it was illegal and wrong

Wonder how the defence solicitors will approach this, on what grounds can they defend the accused.

Lack of training. Police funding. Fear of football violence. Duckenfield needs hung out to dry for this. Especially the cover up he was involved in at a high level. Shame on them all. It wouldn't have happened at a rugby game.

Should be fairly open and shut, the evidence is there and it's damning.

The cover up is indefensible, it's the reasons for the Police taking the actions that they did that my be queried.

    * had a cheek to promote Bettison to Merseyside Chief Constable in 1998 as well, hoping their is no Masonic deal on the table for them as we all know the blame went higher and it stinks of a deal being done as no Govt Ministers have been charged

There will be a whitewash trial and these * will get away with it unless the trial is held in Liverpool.

No chance it'll be heard in Liverpool.

Defence lawyers would be all over that with the right to a fair trial argument.
