Without doubt too many people are still happy just because we trumped the zombies and aren't giving enough credit to Allan or our staff, that he's infact a good player with excellent vision..

Based on what I've seen, I rate him. But it's a bit daft to say he would definitely be able for the premiership. He has only ever shown quality against very poor opposition (I.e. Scottish Championship standard)

Think I said in the Ajax thread, we should not be rushing to play him..

Let him settle in his new surroundings before throwing him in against Aberdeen or Ajax..

He doesn't need unfair comparisons to be drawn with Virgil against two tough opponents. Could be detrimental for him and us.

The guy won the league last year and we paid £4-5 million for him, I think we can throw him in at the deep end and expect him to swim.

 

Would play Blackett at L/CB, I realise it's new to him too, but he should be able to adapt having had the pressure of playing for Man U, 75,000, weight of expectation etc...

Should be less of a culture shock for Blackett and he already knows Janko and Boyata presumably..

Wouldn't be against Mulgrew in there either, but my preference is Blackett see him more as a CB anyway..

Just don't want too much pressure placed on Simunovic too early in my opinion it's needless..

Agreed. He'll have been at the club with all of the players for all of ten minutes before the Aberdeen game. If he starts then the coaching staff must be extremely confident in his abilities. I think Ambrose is going to be used as a last resort judging by his recent commissions from the team when fit and available.

Against the dons i reckon we'll see Chaz in beside Boyata, with Janko and Izzy either side (assuming Lustig is still crocked). We'll want to keep some consistency and in fairness to Charlie he's been ok this season and has the experience and leadership required against a motivated, well known rival team.

If anything, it's Boyata's place i could see Jozo getting slotted into, not now, but as he gets bled in.

 

Looking forward to seeing this guy play, a big ask to replace virgil- lets hope the young man has i in him.

 

Think all the reports on here about him have stopped me getting excited about this guy. Hope they're wrong though and he's worth every penny. Saying that though I don't believe for one minite that we've paid whats been quoted for him, £3m at a push maybe, but Big Virgil was about 3 (correct me if I'm wrong) although we all know we got more than our moneys worth out of him.

 

I would be more inclined to trust a guy with 20 games last season for a league winning side than a youngster who barely played. Him and Blackett arrived a day or two apart so theres no real difference. Lets see what the guy has.

 

I don't understand all this fuss from the Dynamo fans saying he is useless. Here's a breakdown of his stats in all competitions, admittedly this doesn't say everything about a player but it gives us a good indication, and keep in mind he only just turned 21 three days ago.

It might be they are just being * cause we signed there player....after the legia * i trust no one...lol.
