As @saltire78 said, think its down to if he wants to join or not. I think theres an option to buy in the loan deal.
Im holding out hope. If we win the league, automatic CL qualification and the draw of playing for Ange he will surely fancy it. Even if he just stays a season.
All i can say is Benfica must have some top quality wingers.

He is having an amazing season here, he might think he will get into SLB starting 11 next season, but it’s simply not true.

Everton is the main left winger and they paid good money for him and he will start.

They have Dias who is also a left winger and another guy on loan as well ahead of the pecking order.

Honestly it would be * pointless of him to go back there to not even get a sniff.

 

I felt for ages we would miss out on him but more recently I think he will stay.

If I had to guess I would say Celtic are the ones playing it cool right now. We’ve shown we can acquire players and we’ll have cash and time in the summer if Jota doesn’t want to come back. I daresay Ange might have another option he’s tempted by, mad as it may sound.

I suspect everyone’s calm because a deal has essentially been sounded out with both club and player and it will go ahead in the summer as a formality. It just makes so much sense for everyone involved.

 

I fully trust Ange to properly replace him if we don't keep him, but if it's between him and CCV, I'd much rather we get CCV tied down, finding a solid CB, let alone one as good as CCV, is really difficult.

I do think both will stay, especially if we get CL.
