Can tell he’s desperate to get on the scoresheet since coming back in.

Looking really lively when he gets the ball. His intent is clear every time he gets the ball.

I wonder if him being on the bench is purely rotation or a message from Ange that he needs to commit. Probably is rotation, I’m confident he will sign permanently.

We don’t need him. Keep the money and invest it in low-yield government bonds.

Definitely just managing him back from injury imo mate.

Minutes here and there in games where we should be comfortable and then keeping him fresh for the Hun game and then Sheep away.

Do also have Europe coming back pretty soon. Would play him v the Dons (move Maeda central and rest GG), then rest at the weekend v Raith in the Cup, and then back in for the Bodo/Glimt game.

Defo. There is no way he's giving it commit or don't play. We now have the squad to rotate and ease him back in.
    Massive part to play still

Not a fan of him being on the bench. Want to see us much of him as possible! He should be playing every week and rested against Raith and Dundee at home etc.

Should have had a goal and an assist.

Expecting a big game on Wednesday. Also think he will dominate the two games against Bodo too.

Exciting to watch every time he's on the ball, always expect something to happen, hopefully CL football will convinced him to sign permanently

Seems to be performing well the past few weeks.

Goal and a couple of assists tonight, long may it continue :fear:

A guy in my team is a Benfica fan. He's not confident they will get CL next year.
Businesswise, they are still in a bit of a corruption scandal with weakly leaks.

He's not confident in the manager, youth coach as interim. Saying they need at least 10 new players as the ones they do have are scared.

He's still sick we have an option to buy Jota lol.

If they lose a couple of games they could be definitely be losing out on CL next year. If they stay in 3rd they will still need to qualify.

All music to my ears anyway :D

Aye apparently Benfica is a * show and he'd be wise to look elsewhere to further his career. But can anyone tell me this, if we have an obligation to buy - is there anything Benfica can do about it, even if they want him back @Luz1904 ?

The pessimist in me was always paranoid about him going back to Portugal for so long while he was injured. When Jorge Jesus left the club you can bet your bottom dollar that someone at Benfica was whispering in his ear again to try and get him back. All the noises were positive before that.

If he really wants to make it with Benfica and has been told he'll get the chance, I doubt we'll see him back here. Hopefully he realises that he's better off here. He could easily get a transfer to a top side after another year or two here. Tbf he probably could with Benfica but then he could easily slip through the net again.

I'm resigning myself to him not coming back. My heart has been broken too many times.

Other way to look at that is they will sell off all their high earners and look to their youth academy. Jota might be moving up the pecking order for them next season.
