    Wasn't on it tonight.

Looks a better player with Hatate on the park too, now.

He needs that player that will turn inside behind and turn the midfield into the middle of the pitch, and play the pass out to him when he goes into space.

It’s why I want Juranovic back on that side, he’s been by far at his best when he’s supported him and made sure he can’t get ganged up on. He doesn’t overlap, he doesn’t go for glory, he supports the guy infront of him.

He does the same on the right, no surprise that both Abada and Jota’s been at their best with Juranovic behind them.

Was off it last night. But by no means the most disappointing, not by a long shot.

TBH, the reason I feel Bodo are miles ahead of us in everything is how easily they stopped Jota and Rogić, our best players. He was bad, because they know how to defend.

There press is better structured imo. You could see the line of 3 pressing together. It was actually nice to watch. No headless chickens chasing the ball. Still think we will do them next week though. If by enough I'm not sure.

In freezing Northern Norway? Jota, Rogić and Abada will play even worse than last night. And Bodo’s press won’t lose on quality.

I'm optimistic. The players will have to give 100% and the other team will be defending the lead. An early goal and its game on.

Was * but it was just a off night for him. Wasn’t because Hatate wasn’t starting he played bad. They’ve started about 2 games together probably. Jota has been frightening in games domestically and in Europe all season. He will show next week.

Felt he was playing for himself last night.

He’s best when he plays his natural game, links up with midfield and explodes while in the final third as opposed to trying to dribble in a congested midfield.

Don’t think he linked up at all with Taylor last night either.

strange flipping from left to right, he is more effective on the left.
saying that his assist a few weeks ago was from the right.
pity about his final ball to GG at the end of the game could have been 3-2 finish.
sunday will come round soon we need a good 4-0 win get the mood going again fire on cylinders and be ruthless

I think we only moved him as we were desperate. Watching the game you felt they had us totally worked out and we were *, They had 3 men round Jota every time we passed it to him forcing him to give it backwards. So Ange probably thought they won't have expected Jota to play on the right as we've not done that much or at least I dont think even once since the break when they've probably been watching us.

They tended to leave Abada in space, but had Jota tightly marked so swapping them we maybe thought Jota would be left in more space but it never happened.

They knew pretty much every pattern of play we used and cut off everything, we did fuckall really until they tired and then we started to get more joy and they got more ropey but when they had the legs we couldn't do a thing they had us that well worked out.

I also think they left Abada in space because I notice as well CCV never passes it longer distance, he never attempts to pass it to the striker or Abada even when he could do it constantly. He only ever passes a ball to Ralston, McGregor or Starfelt. So they probably knew he would never play a longer pass to Abada early, so they could sit more to the left, knowing again we play down the left much more than the right and be sure Abada would never really get quick service and that they only had to get closer to him once Ralston got the ball.

yes in europe no matter the team they are usually well drilled and astute etc.
as you are aware their season isnt under way yet, but they arent at home playing the playstation, I would imagine they have watched our last 10 games and done their homework, every player knew their role and responsibility with and without the ball, very hard team to break down (but we are used to this in lots of scottish games).

the nail on the head is that we need to be able to have a plan b and plan c, looking at our bench it was very limited in terms of experience and European experience. One vball over the top and 3 x midfielders are exposed we looked very vulnerable.

bit radical but imagine playing GG and Maeda from the start and throw the cat amongst the pigeons, but like most modern managers they are stubborn in that regard. Some high balls with flicks on with Maeda's pace.

I though CCV was steady he did a few sloppy balls, but I've seen recently he seems to be coached to play a high ball out wide to the high right back to start most attacks etc - im thinking the second goal against rangers and a few other times.

Yes I think someone like GG play a ball up quick he holds it up and pops it off to oncoming midfielders etc.

we miss kyogo his game intelligence and touch is clinical - worrying we dont know when he is due back

He had a bad game, * sake! Some of the posts from people the day are * OTT it’s unbelievable.

I honestly think it’s either closet zombies or people are reading too much into them beating a really poor Dortmund side who is ravaged with injuries and are in crisis.

We can’t win every game and Jota will be back to his best soon enough

True. Hes very young and exactly why he needs to stay here. Once he develops himself enough to perform every game only then should he consider leaving. Otherwise he will certainly become a Roberts style journeyman.

They knew exactly who they had to stop and where they could expose us, executing their game plan, without much interference from us..
