If we didn't have bad luck we'd have no luck at all.

Only positive id say is that last weekend without the wee man probably played some of the best football we’ve played all season and at especially this season a fairly tough venue

Unless he’s set back he’s a certainty to be available for the manks IMO.

Postecoglou, meanwhile, conceded defeat in Jota’s race to be fit to face Hibs at Hampden a week on Sunday.

He has an outside chance of making the Old Firm clash on January 2 as the manager said: “He won’t be right for the cup final. We’ll just have to see how he recovers from it.”

I think Boli's been bombed out now. The only reason I can think why he hasn't featured since his wee cameo is that Ange must not think he buys into his system.

Absolutely * news and just our luck (again). Hopefully big Ange is just being on the over cautious side and he will be back in time to face the huns.

Is there any chance he makes the game on against the huns?

Would literally be a game changer, even I'd he's only on for 30 minutes.

Celtic will be without star winger Jota for the New Year crunch with Rangers.

And boss Ange Postecoglou has revealed he also has to be cautious with strike hero Kyogo Furuhashi as he plans for Wednesday’s clash with St Mirren.

Postecoglou has already ruled midfielder David Turnbull out of the crunch in Paisley after he sustained a hamstring injury during last weekend’s Premier Sports Cup Final.

Furuhashi was the hero at Hampden with two goals to sink Hibs, but played despite not being 100 per cent fit and the Aussie boss is monitoring his fitness on a daily basis.

Attacker Jota has been out since the start of the month having pulled a hamstring against Hearts.

The Portuguese won’t be back until after the winter shutdown meaning he’ll miss scheduled games against Saints, St Johnstone, Hibs and Rangers.

Postecoglou said: “Jota’s injury was quite significant, so we don’t think we will see him back out there before the break.”

Turnbull and Furuhashi are also under surveillance as the manager confirmed: “Dave was the major one coming out of the Final. We have had the scan, but we haven’t had the results yet.

“He will definitely be out for St Mirren, but I’m not sure how long he will miss.

“Everyone else got through the game okay, but there are one or two minor niggles.

“We will also have to particularly manage Kyogo during this period as he is not 100 per cent.

“I just need to see how he came through the game and look at St Mirren.

“I am not expecting anyone else to miss out and I also don’t expect anyone who was missing to return.”
