I doubt he’ll return, he’s obviously wanting challenges elsewhere but the wasted year in Saudi has definitely impacted him and now barely playing in France.

If Jota is still at Renne near the end of the window, and we sign a winger on loan with no option to buy, I think we'll be bringing him back in the summer.

Remember Jota was an Ange signing, there's nothing to say Rodgers actually wants him..

Just guessing, but I wouldn't be surprised if Kennedy was recommending him.

During the mid-season transfer period , Trabzonspor started transfer preparations for the second half of the league

According to Fanatik; Jota , who plays for Rennes , was offered to Trabzonspor through managers. It was reported that the conditions of the 25-year-old winger, who was left out of the squad in Rennes, were being investigated.

It was reported that Rennes is expected to expect a transfer fee of around 8 million euros for Jota. It was reported that Trabzonspor could knock on Rennes' door with a loan formula with a purchase option

Jota has never been happier than when he played with us. I’d love to see him back. I’m sure we could offer him decent wages. He’s on about £37 k a week at Rennes

He’ll run riot in Turkey I suspect.

I think the fans have him linked with us more than he is in reality

Let’s be honest we all know the guy, he was always going to be a nomadic character the way he floated about.

He’ll want to experience different places and cultures and that looks like exactly what he is doing.

If he stayed and we didn’t get the offer for him we did, I have no doubt he’d have continued to shine for us.

I don’t think him coming back to us is on the table at all either, but if he did, despite his last two clubs and how he’s done - I would still have no doubts he’d be a star here again. It’s not went the way we or he would have expected but I don’t think it’s one we were lucky to cash in at the right time, I am certain if he didn’t leave, he wouldn’t have nosedived from what he was doing here like he has.

He was the player I was most excited to see working under Rodgers. I think he would have excelled.

Really don't know why we aren't exploring the option especially as a loan to buy. He's had a difficult 18 months but he's easily the lowest risk when compared to some of the others we are talking about spending £7m+ on

If you look at the level Rodger’s has got Kuhn to jota wasnt far off that or possibly is on par with that level just now so if Rodger’s had the chance to work with jota then jota stats would be amazing

imagine Kuhn and jota on the wings , that would be insane

I also think if tierney comes back then maeda will struggle as I can’t see tierney doing what Taylor does , he will probably keep wide more and maeda isnt great coming inside , think jota would give you the flexibility to do both like Kuhn does on the right

Rodgers would do absolute wonders for him and shots clearly loves Celtic but just feel the character he portrays he’d like to try something different

Rodgers said after he was sold "He was a player I would love to have worked with" So there is that!
Also, imagine we got him for like £7M. We would still be £12M up on any dealings with him as we paid £6M the first time, and he has made about £10M at least in wages. It makes a LOT of sense, I hope the wait is for a win tonight. Extra £11M plus gate receipts in if we win tonight. I PRAY he and KT come home. Absolutely love it

Jota & KT left, Kuhn & Johnston right, Maeda through the middle.

    Geez it.

A transfer of around 10 million euros is in the pipeline. This file had been open for several weeks, and the Rennes leaders had to be patient. The negotiations between Rennes and Celtic were constructive, particularly because the Portuguese winger Jota, former star… of Celtic, was mentioned.

According to our information, Jota, who coach Jorge Sampaoli is not really counting on and who was about to leave, should go the other way and join Celtic.
