Jota - Welcome Home!

What a farewell honestly, will miss him so much but glad our club had this impact on his life.

 

Obviously wished he had of stayed with us longer. But can't argue with the 2 years he gave us. A joy to watch him play on a team that was a joy to watch. So many great moments, big goals etc and then in fairness he earned us a big cheque on the way out the door as well as taking care of himself. Was easily one of my favourite players in Ange's team.

 

There there.

 

He was happy here you could genuinely tell that.

Was far too much money to turn down that set him up for life and as I've said before when the bid come in the board would have wanted the deal done.

 

Guess he just had to think about what he wanted to say.

 

Why's that?

 

Seriously though 200k a week, you'd be talking the biggest load of pish if you said you wouldn't dive into that feet first.

Maybe his tash ain't as bad as I first said.......

I now accept I'm a dinosaur. I'll happily take the abuse without any reaction. I know I'm in the minority of this current evolution of emotional humanity.

I didn't understand why people were upset about not getting a farewell message, and people now gushing over a fairwell message I don't understand either. Bonkers man, he's a footballer, nothing more nothing less and we were a job for two years......and there's nothing wrong with that.

Good wee video tbh

 

It was well intended and I did raise a wee smile but I agree, pretty cringeworthy stuff.

 

Was expecting David Brent to turn up with a guitar.

 

Because they were whining he hadn't said anything.

Some folk were greeting at his silence and others were giving it the 'don't want any birthday caird pish' pish, so he couldn't really win either way.

Way I see it is it draws a line under it. He's gone, he's said goodbye with a nice if slightly cheesy video, I wish him the best and we carry on.

 

If he’s ever got a free weekend l’d still let him sleep with Mrs B, tuck him in afterwards and have a fry up ready for his breakfast

I'm confused.

Honestly, thanks for being here Jota, two great years and all the best.
He'd be a mug to turn down that sort of money.

But I don't get his words and message.

He's learnt that he wants happiness in his football and finds it in the path.

Then tell us how much he loved his time here, that he loved the fans and place more than his girlfriends.

Not sure those two messages make sense in the same video.

But doesn't overly matter, because he was here for two great years with us, done well, won medals and has been offered life changing, generation changing, money.
