Now that I’ve slept on this I’m devastated, more devastated than Ange leaving. I’m going to miss him.

 

He did dip in and out of form at times tbf but even when he wasn't on top of his game you felt he could do something that would change the game.

Excellent player and not one I would throw in the overrated category.

 

Would be difficult to find a player who doesn’t.

 

I wouldn’t even say out of form at any real point at us, slightly less effective, but even then if it was needed he would be the likely assist or goal.

Him and Kyogo, usually both tbf. What was the one this season he finished when he was on the floor when it unexpectedly got through to him when we were desperately needing a goal? Because that might have been the worst game he actually played for us and I’m sure he got an assist as well.

His reliability was insane.

 

The bitterness from some when a player leaves gives me a chuckle. It’s a good deal for both parties. * get over it.

 

I can't pretend to be ok with the wee man leaving, I'm absolutely gutted. The skills, the smile, the hair.......his wee dodgy mouse on the upper lip. Not to mention the greatest celebration I have ever seen. Good luck to you Jota even though you broke my heart. As for where his departure leaves the team.....we need a proper replacement for him. Not a has-been or a "project". He was our most talented player. A match-winner. The player who worried the opposition. It's amazing how football can change so fast, not long ago we were celebrating an historic treble and looking forward to a period of dominance, exciting football and flair players under Ange. Now everything has to start again under a manager who will bolt back to England as soon as he gets an offer he thinks worthy of himself.

Sad to see him go as he's not only an entertainer but can produce the goods in the big moments which is priceless.

 

People are calling him ‘irreplaceable’. Of course that’s overrating him.

You could very easily put a video of that length together showcasing him completely disappearing.

 

Need to spend big to fill his shoes. There would have been no treble this season without him

 

Players come and go... nothing new

I'd controversially argue its a better move for him in almost every aspect then it be to move to a team who's fancied for relegation in epl
