    Trouble is most of the good guys actually mean it. No sentiment in business as they say and regrettable as it is to leave somewhere you've been idolized money talks.

    Jota will go there for 3-5 years and see how he gets on then will try deal up in another lucrative contract and if he doesn't get it, whatever he is offered then he will reacess his situation and see wholl offer it him in Europe. Of no one will offer him any decent contract * start making noises about coming back to the great Glasgow Celtic. Anyone who's decent with us, moves on for bigger money knows that Celtic will be a club they will be able to fall back on if things don't go to plan. The celtic supporters will then cream in their panties about him returning like many did when the Rat came back. Sad but true I'm afraid:(

    * him!

    I hope there’s no farewell.. no fond memories to share… no ‘great fans he will miss’. Don’t want to hear any of it. Just be gone and forgotten.

    Away and vanish into mediocrity albeit with ridiculous wealth…. And don’t come back.

    I honestly never want to see another Celtic manager or player giving it out about loving the club… tugging and kissing at the badge…. Never. You are just doing a very well paid job for a company and will * off to a different company as soon as a better (ie more money) offer comes in.

    That’s it.. next please… get signed, train, play, win, get paid, keep yer gub shut… repeat .. (until your epl/Saudi dream comes true)

    He has been a pleasure to watch and I will really miss watching him. He seemed to love being a Celtic player and always put in a shift, made things happen.

    Wish him but nothing but the best in his career. Cannot blame someone for accepting such a life changing amount of money like that.

    He cost us what, £6M. Looks like we bank £20M after two great seasons. Wish he stayed longer but he certainly doesn't leave short changing us.

    Up to us to make sure we reinvest wisely now.

    No real surprise here, mega money and some big names in the league, gutting since he built such a strong connection with the fans but we move on.

    Thanks for the memories and best of luck.

    So in order to love playing for a club and be passionate about playing for the club in the moment, you need to stay there your entire career?

    Wish him all the best. Hopefully he makes his money there and gets a move to a decent European league to really test himself.

    Far too many of our fans have this idea that players/managers who say they love being here are committing to never leaving.

    Won 5 trophies.

    More memories than the Huns have had in 13 years for context.

    Amazing money he will be earning, but * that it’s life changing amount stuff. If he has a 4 year deal earning £25k per week he’d earn over £6 million. Aye he’d likely need a part time job in Tesco to supplement his pension right enough.
