    Yeah all I can do is speculate and try to be positive ar this time though. None of us really know how its gonna be this time around so there's maybes and buts on both sides of the argument.

    One certainty is I'm a lot more confident with Lawwell jnr and Nicholson working together.

    NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO has promised Jota he will make him a £20million Saudi superstar.

    SunSport understands the Al-Ittihad boss has been tracking the Celtic winger for a YEAR.


    Jota remains in advanced talks over a megabucks deal - with the Hoops expected to land in excess of £20m with add-ons.

    And Portuguese coach Nuno has made a personal pitch to convince the 24-year-old to quit Parkhead for a life-changing Saudi switch.

    Former Wolves and Spurs boss Nuno was keen on Jota from the moment he took charge of Al-Ittihad last summer.

    The Al-Ittihad gaffer had to bide his time after Celtic landed the winger from Benfica for £6.5m.


    But his interest remained strong as he watched Jota star in the Hoops’ Treble-winning campaign.

    Al-Ittihad pulled off major coups when they landed French superstars Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante from Real Madrid and Chelsea.

    But boss Nuno made it clear to club chiefs that Jota should also be a priority target for the Saudi champions this summer.

    The duo share the same agent, Jorge Mendes, but the Al-Ittihad coach is also a huge fan of the Celtic star.


    Nuno wants to make a major push for the Asian Champions League after winning the club’s first title in 14 years.

    Al-Ittihad will also take part in the Club World Cup in Jeddah this December - with Man City potential opponents.

    Jota stands to earn life-changing wages as he edges closer to quitting Parkhead in the coming days.

    And he has already been earmarked to take one of Al-Ittihad’s eight foreign player slots from captain Ahmed Hegazy.




    The Egyptian defender faces a long spell out with an ACL injury - and Nuno wants Jota to replace him.

    Al-Ittihad’s pre-season camp begins in Taif on July 10 and they hope to have a deal completed long before then.

    Former Celtic star Mark Wilson reckons the loss of Jota is a massive blow - but believes the deal is too good for his old club to block.

    He said: “I’m devastated, I couldn’t believe it when the news broke.

    “I’m sure Celtic fans will be the same because he’s been quite mesmerising since he’s come to Celtic Park a couple of seasons ago.




    He’s an entertainer, provides assists and goals and if you look at a winger like him he scored 13 in his first season and 15 in his second.

    “That’s worth its weight in gold. But as a frontman you rely on service and he was one man who provided service for Kyogo so it’ll be a huge blow.

    “The model here in Scotland for Celtic and Rangers, if you can buy someone for £6million and potentially sell them on for £25million in a couple of years, it’s good business.”

    Remember Im a millionaire actually getting paid to play football for the club I grew up supporting, and don't need any more


    Jota isn't the same as me though, so I don't blame him too much if he leaves.
