For those who are in love.....
I'd likely still start him on the right..

He'll be up against Barisic or the right footed boy Devine. He'd expose both..

Maeda torments Tavernier on the left and will run them ragged..

They don't have the pace defensively now that Bassey's away. Abada has that Barisic on toast as well so we have options..

No one should be a guaranteed starter and become complacent. That's what I hope Ange is building us towards. Near on like for like quality replacements all across the board..

Abada is 100% starter for me next 2 games on the right, his confidence is high and yes missed a few sitters but has been our most effective winger since coming back from the break.

Abada had Barisic on toast 10 months ago and the last derby a few months ago, and Abada has gone up several levels since then. I feel confident in Jota, Maeda, Abada, Forrest and Haksa completely overrunning them.

I’d be starting Abada on the right. Barasic has never been able to cope with his movement in and around the box.

Maeda and his pace/pressing would be my starter on the left. Never gives Tavernier a minute and that’s what forces them into mistakes. I’d also play Kyogo. Goldson and Sands are never picking up his movement

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Jota has been suffering from a sickness bug.

The former Benfica man has made the bench for the match against Hibs despite being ill.

Speaking ahead of the game, the Australian said: "We have had a few issues in and around the team over the last few days.

Tough choice for Ange ahead of Monday. Jota not been at his best and ill as well, barasic has nightmares about Abada and Maeda so good v Hibs will no doubt have tavpen * his pants...

Jota is such a danger man though, almost too good not to play. Good to have so many options up top.

Never leave your best out. Jota is our best player imo. These are the games he'll relish and do the job in. As per usual for him.

He needs to start, always turns up against them. He is one of our big time players. Want to see him on the left and Abada on the right.

Jota addresses his Celtic levels and opens up on iconic celebration against Rangers
Celtic forward Jota says he is doing everything he can to improve his form at the club and become “a better player”

The 23-year-old Portuguese has been used from the bench by manager Ange Postecoglou in Celtic’s past two matches and has failed to post a goal or an assist in six competitive matches. However, the ex-Benfica is still an integral part of the first team and ahead of Monday’s derby against Rangers, he stressed his desire to be “the best version of myself”.

Asked if there is another level he can reach, Jota replied: “Yes, definitely. Every player always has something to offer. You can never be satisfied with the things you do because I have motivation an ambition to be a better player and that’s what I’m going to try to do. I work every day to be the best version of myself. I know what I do and what I don’t do. So I just work on the things I need to so I can be a better player.”

Jota was among the goalscorers in Celtic’s 4-0 win over Rangers back in September, with his celebration becoming an instant hit with the Celtic faithful as it is now a print fans can buy from the club. “No, it was something in the moment. Really, I’m serious,” Jota said when quizzed if his actions were pre-meditated. “I’m just grateful for that as it was a really good moment for me. If people can look back on that moment and it brings them a bit of happiness then I’m happy as well. It’s all about the happiness.”

Jota says he does not have a favourite goal in Celtic colours. “ My favourite goal is always the last one and the next one, if you know what I mean. All of then are special in some way of course. Maybe some of them are more important than other ones because some can give you a victory in the last moment or whatever. The Bernabeu was certainly a special one and the one at Celtic Park against Rangers was also special because it’s a big game. But every goal is important.”
