I am of the opinion that Maeda is better. Each to their own hehe. Jota is a more skillful player but Maeda is probably the hardest working presser in world football. Love the man. But I guess if Jota takes his place he would do it for a reason, so win win.

I think Jota can play well in a counter attacking style and turn it on in Europe in place of Kyogo. Domestically he can really shine also against a defensive team, cutting in from the left or right. I think with Kyogo gone we could be looking at a more balanced attack rather than the pace of Maeda, Kuhn and Kyogo, might even give Idah the opportunity to be a target man, I think we should be looking at having more options if our A plan isn't working.

I don't think there is a definitive answer to the question of who is ahead of who between Daizen and Jota. It literally is a case of sharing the load.

It's the depth we've been waiting for so let's not try to create an issue out of it. Three wingers of the quality and variety as we have is * amazing to have.

This is one of the keys for me. With the increased champions league game load on top of the heavy game loads we had anyway compared to most other teams having Jota, Maeda and Kuhn as top rate wing options is needed so that they each can get rested enough to actually be at or closer to their peak when they play because now they can get enough rest.

Absolutely, It will be interesting to see how we can get the best out of them. I'd love it of we signed a good striker out of the blue though. Someone who wev'e kept secret. Overall i'm still very optimistic about the end to the season and I want us to work hard to identify replacement possibly for the summer.

Honestly, who had “we have too much quality on the wings” on their bingo list of fan complaints this season?

Against Young Boys, we were absolutely crying out for fresh legs and fresh ideas on the wings as the game went on, but clearly Rodgers didn’t trust Palma or Yang to come on. This signing totally negates that issue. Even domestically, imagine being a full back who has been back to the wall against us for 60 minutes, is really starting to tire both mentally and physically, then sees a fresh Jota/Kuhn/Maeda about to enter the fray. It’s incredible depth to have.

He scored 1 hat trick there in a pre season friendly in Japan. He scored a double against Hibs when there were no strikers available. We spent £9.5M on Idah and Brendan wants a new striker. Yet everyone keeps regurgitating this false narrative that suddenly he's the answer now Kyogo is away. There's about 4 or 5 threads filled with people talking about this as if it's a revelation. It's never going to happen.

Its just an opinion mate. Opinions come from thought process. Maybe you are 100% correct in your observations, in which case we might both benefit from the conclusion as the thoughts and ideas have been properly processed.

I just think it's been debated to death and Brendan was even specifically asked that question on Friday. There's no doubt he can do a job there if absolutely necessary but I think its glaring that he doesn't possess the quality needed to play up there for us every game. We've been crying out for quality on the wings as Daizen and Kuhn have really been the only ones doing the business there. Yang has had a decent bit of game time and Palma has had some minutes too. But we've been needing reinforcements and Jota coming in to compete with Kuhn/Maeda is perfect. As is another striker coming in to compete with Idah.
