Thats so obvious but didn’t think of it. I just can't understand the valuations and wonder where the measly figures guessed at, are coming from.
The phone should be getting slammed down on any bid under 20M.

Possibly. Maybe a clause for certain teams. I'd have one inserted "have to accept any bid from celtic..." in mine :56:

Media now reporting Monza are in for him. Their record transfer is €4.5m. They are gonna need a bigger boat.

MODEST Monza are trying to land the biggest transfer coup in their history by beating off competition from Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea to sign Celtic star Josip Juranovic...thanks to Silvio Berlusconi.

The Croatian right back became a World Cup star after a string of outstanding performances in Qatar as he helped his country reach the semi-finals and eventually finish in third place.

That's led to a host of elite clubs registering their interest in Celtic's prized asset who is set to play in tomorrow's Old Firm showdown.

But the latest serious interest comes from a less established club in Italy, who are now backed by controversial former Italian president Berlusconi - whose fortune was valued at £6 billion this year.

The former AC Milan president took over Monza four years ago along with Milan's former chief executive Adriano Galliani and guided them back into Serie A in the summer thanks to his financial backing.

They are currently 11 points behind the European spots and Berlusconi has vowed to back Monza manager Raffaele Palladino with a huge January warchest for transfers and wages.

They remain convinced they could have the financial muscle to tempt Juranovic into what would seem to be an unlikely switch and are set to make their move this week once the transfer window reopens.

Berlusconi sees his club as potential big players on the European stage soon and wants to make a marquee signing to underline their ambition.

And they are set to see if they can tempt Juranovic to the newly-promoted Stadio Brianteo club.

Going to be honest, couldn't give a monkeys where he goes. As long as we get a large fee for him.

I wish I had your confidence when it comes to a large fee. I just can't see anyone giving us massive money. Genuinely think we will struggle to get £12m for him.

Atletico fetched £12m from Newcastle for Kieran Tripper at 31 years old. Jura has 4 years on his contract, more caps at a younger age and performed excellently for the 3rd best team in the world cup, takes penalties and is a model modern day right back..

    He's a £20m player imo.

Can you point out on other occasions where I have been down about life? I'm more than positive about Celtic and the way our clubs going. What a strange thing to say because I don't think we will get the numbers some people think for Juranovic

TBF to you, it was only a judgement on your single post which sounded depressing, and your other postings don’t sound anywhere near as negative. I just think you should have the same optimism when it comes to selling JJ :50:

ANGE POSTECOGLOU expects Josip Juranovic to quickly settle back into his rhythm at Celtic after starring for Croatia at the World Cup in Qatar.

The right-back played every minute as his nation reached the semi-finals before losing out to eventual runners-up France and gained admirers for an impressive series of performances on football’s biggest stage.

Juranovic is yet to feature since the cinch Premiership returned to action last month but Postecoglou has no reservations about throwing the 27-year-old into the thick of it this afternoon as he praised his players that represented their countries in Qatar.

He is ready to go,” Postecoglou said of the full-back. “He was ready the other night, but he had only had one training session with us so I didn’t feel the urgency to throw him back in. He has trained since then and is in good condition so he is fit and available.

“I see no reason why he can’t perform as well as the other boys who were away in Qatar have since they have come back in. We had a really positive World Cup as a football club. Aaron [Mooy], Cameron [Carter-Vickers], Daizen [Maeda], Alistair [Johnston] and Josip were all really positive contributors to their country.

For us, it was great to see. That has also given them the belief and energy to come back here and perform for their club side. I see no reason why Josip will be any different. He has come back and feels good about how it went over there. Now he wants to come back and contribute.”
