I think we're looking at a West Ham or even Chelsea down south, much better calibre than Southampton/Brighton.

    Agree that Barca is unlikely.

    https://www.westhamzone.com/news/ex...er-swoop-for-celtic-defender-josip-juranovic/

West Ham target and Celtic right-back Josip Juranovic could reportedly be available for £6million in the January transfer window.

According to ExWHUemployee, if that is the case, then the Hammers will be interested in making a move for the Croatia international.

The 27-year-old was a regular in the Croatian side that made it to the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.

Speaking on the West Ham Way podcast at 8:36, Ex said, “Josip Juranovic is a Croatian right-back at Celtic. Now apparently Celtic have said that he’s available for £6million which is a lot less than what was being reported so if that’s the case we could be interested in making a move there.”

Juranovic is a proven international who has risen to the occasion on the grandest of stages and put in stellar performances.

He’s excelled at Celtic and at 27, it’s perhaps time for him to make a big move and the Premier League certainly will be of some interest.

At £6million, he would be a relative bargain and would walk into the playing XI at West Ham and David Moyes would certainly be open to this.

Jurnaovic is an attack-minded right-back who’s got a decent cross on him as well so it will be beneficial for Gianluca Scamacca who has craved some good service of late.

The hierarchy have been impressed with the Croatian defender and it seems like they will at least test the waters in January.

It remains to be seen what happens about Vladimir Coufal and whether or not he’s shown the door next month or at the end of the season.

That gives me the fear. ExWHUemployee knows his stuff from a West Ham point of view. He's very ITK down there.

Only way I can see it being £6 Million is if there's a buyout in his contract, but surely not?

Ange Postecoglou insists Celtic have received no offers or interest in Josip Juranovic or any other squad member ahead of the January transfer window.

The Croatian full-back has been the subject of increased speculation in recent weeks after he starred at the World Cup to land a third-place medal with his country.

Barcelona were the latest team to be quoted as interested yesterday, while there is also said to be Premier League interest from down south.

Postecoglou refused to be drawn to the reports in his pre-Livingston press conference as he looked ahead to the Premiership fixture

He said: "All this speculation. What I can tell you now is that we don't have an offer for any player.

"People can talk about offers and clubs wanting but I can't spend my time chasing shadows of what is in the press every morning. I would be spending my whole day talking to players.

"What I see is what is before me at training every day, if players have things put in front of them about their future I am sure they will come and see me and Michael will speak to their representatives.

"But right now there is nothing, zero, zip, nada, nothing going on."

He continued: "I don't have any sort of confidence or lack of confidence about our players.

"They are all here and they are all training. Josip isn't back yet, he had a great World Cup, he was brilliant and credit to him.

"He has a memory now that he will have forever. He represented our football club really well as did all our boys at the World Cup.

"He has a week off now and then he will be backtraining next week and will be ready to go."

That's my concern, even though he had a great WC, the amount of new teams circling daily has me thinking there might be a clause in there. * hope not. Would think we'd have heard it confirmed by now though.

    27-year-old Josip Juranović
, who amazed the football world with a match against Brazil in Qatar, became a very interesting acquisition .

Celtic is ready to sell Juranović for 17 million pounds, and after the interest of Torino, Barcelona, Espanyol, Chelsea and Newcastle, a new candidate has appeared to bring him. We are talking about Manchester United, so it is not impossible that Livaković and Juranović will soon share a dressing room at Old Trafford!

Namely, several English media, including Sky Sports, announced that the Red Devils are interested in Juranović in order to strengthen the competition in the position of right back, which is covered by the Portuguese Diogo Dalot . The arrival of Juranović would mean the likely departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka , who has not played in United's shirt lately.

Juranović is just one of the interesting faces that the English giants would like to bring to their ranks after the World Cup. In addition to the former Hajduk and Warsaw Legia player, Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer , Moroccan midfielder Sofian Amrabat and Portuguese forward Goncalo Ramos are also mentioned .

ANGE POSTECOGLOU will make a last-minute call on whether he throws Josip Juranovic back in against Rangers.

The defender is due back in Glasgow after his World Cup exploits with Croatia.

Juranovic was given additional time off after his country claimed the bronze medal in Qatar

Postecoglou revealed the full-back is injured and is unlikely to feature against Hibs at Easter Road on Wednesday.

But with Anthony Ralston also sidelined, the Hoops boss currently has no available right-backs ahead of the visit to Ibrox on January 2.

Postecoglou said: “It’s Monday we’ll get him back in.

Josip’s had a slight injury, so we’ll see how he is. It’s unlikely he’ll be available for Hibs, but we’ll see.

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has maintained it is "unlikely" that Josip Juranovic will be available for the upcoming Scottish Premiership clash against Hibernian.

The right-back starred for Croatia at the World Cup as the European nation finished third in Qatar.

Juranovic missed the final match after picking up a knock and now Postecoglou has explained the 27-year-old will miss the Easter Road fixture.

Speaking ahead of the game, the Australian said: "It is unlikely. He will get back but because he had a minor injury as well, he probably hasn't done too much. We will assess him when he gets in but I think it is unlikely."
