Mate calm down its a transfer rumour thread and this is a well-publicised transfer rumour. If you don't like it don't comment!

Do you just post in transfer threads asking them to be closed? :56:

I would love to see Jordan Rhodes here but I would rather have Baba. If we shift some deadweight around the club.

Why do you say in every transfer rumour thread 'close the thread'?

No offense mate but living in Sweden do you get to watch much league 1 football? Huddersfield IMO would comfortably finish 3rd in the SPL.

I get what you mean mate. Probably not near as much as brittish people do, but i grab some games. What im saying is that Baba scores goals in a good league, hes a more "proven(?)" Striker then rhodes imo. I would be happy with Rhodes to, but i would go mental over Baba.

Imagine what teams like Porto and Benfica would do to Huddersfield, and baba have scored against those teams. But i think baba is off for a huge bid to some other teams :(

assistant manager Terry McDermott says he's very unlikely to move this window.

Ideally i'd take both! But do agree that we need a striker with Babas qualities more than Rhodes.

See I can't argue with your logic guys, Baba is the more 'proven' striker. However, gut instinct tells me we should go for Rhodes, can't really give you a reason.......anyone else feel the same?

I feel Rhodes is less of a gamble as we know he is suited to british culture with no language barrier and is still very young and seems a bit of a goal machine

Ive said it before and I'll say it again. Some of the things Rhodes does on the football pitch makes you think 'how the... ' while I have never watched Baba play I get the impression he'll be a Sutton style player in that he'll get the headers in the box while scoring a few on the floor. Which one would be better for us? Hard to know.

    i'm with you, Breenzo.

at the beginning of this saga i was in favour of Baba due to him performing at a high level in a high standard of league. the more i watch Rhodes and the way his form has continued, it is remarkable. i have a gut feeling that with us Rhodes could become great, and i mean great. i'm unsure if Baba could reach the hight that Rhodes could here. nothing to back it up apart from gut feeling like you have.

tbh, we'd be lucky to get either.

I just think Rhodes would fit into our style of play better than Baba would whilst still giving greater options to the team in holding up the ball and aerially in the box. He would also be better able to hit the ground running and already has a good understanding with James Forrest. Plus he's Scottish which is always nice to see but makes little difference in reality
