Dawson is miles away from first team level. Absolutely miles away.

    Moffat is *.

Neither are remotely good enough to be even semi-regular players for us.

Because he uses both feet. He often crosses with his left foot, which is why I also thought he was left footed the other day.

As a 4. option at the forward positions, yes they are.

No they’re not. And it wouldn’t be 4th option, it’d be third.

We have two strikers. Two right wingers (one is Forrest who can’t be relied on to stay fit) and two reliable left wingers (Johnston is regularly injured).

Moffat and Dawson are Scottish League 1 level.

Maeda is qualified to play anywhere in the front line. As of now, none you mentioned are injured.

I think it's a no brainer we sign him if he's on a free.

There's a big emphasis on our wingers producing and pressing back and forth....over a full season..

    Right now we have

    Jota
    Maeda
    Mikey

    For the left

    Then

    Jota
    Abada
    Forrest

    For the right

    Mikey can't be relied upon
Forrest can't be relied upon now for me either
Abada is still young and will likely be inconsistent

Jota is better on the left but still quality on the right..

Anyone that thinks we don't need more quality on the wing is mental....particularly on that right side where it's glaringly obvious..

I'm not. I'm arguing we don't need Jordan Larsson to be the 4. choice forward/winger. Waste of his time.

Jordan Larsson comes in as the 4 and can compete to move up.

Moffat and Dawson don’t. They will always be last choice.

    It’s not rocket science.

Since when do we care more about the feelings of the player than what’s best for the club?

If Jordan Larsson signs he’ll have full confidence of making the starting XI. And maybe he will.

Aye but at least they won’t get upset if they don’t get on for a wee runout.

That is the point. We sign JL, and he ends up twiddling his thumbs- the media will try to take advantage of it to ruin the atmosphere in the team.

Reading far too much into it.

The point is if we can get him for free, and he wants to join, it’s an absolute no brainer. He’s a far, far better player than the likes of Dawson and Moffat, and could push for a regular starting position.

Good teams have strength in depth.

He could, but someone will end up short on games. If we had no Abada/Forrest, then Larsson would be fine to bring in. This way, there's bound to be unhappy players. I personally have sympathy for any player who wants game time, far less than one wanting more money.

I'd hate for Jordan to hate his time here.

Forrest is coming to the tail end of his career. I’m sure he’ll cope having 25 appearances per season.

Anyway it’s a pointless argument. Thankfully the manager will try to make the squad as strong as possible.
