    CELTIC Football Club has to report that, regrettably, Jonny Hayes suffered a broken leg during the game against Dundee at Dens Park yesterday.

    Jonny had surgery today and will now be out for some time as he begins the long road back to full fitness. He will make a full recovery but he’s unlikely to feature again this season.

    He will receive the best care and attention throughout the months ahead, while the thoughts and best wishes of everyone at Celtic and, indeed, the whole Celtic Family, are with Jonny.

    Its a bad injury at the best of times. But for a player who relies on his speed as much as Johnny Hayes does...this could be a total disaster for his career.......Izaguire was never the same player after his leg break

    No need to go into how gutted I am for wee Jonny - just off the back of approaching some regular form, and off the back of his first goal for the club - breaks his leg :47::47::47::47:

    Hope he gets plenty of support whilst he begins his recovery.

    On the bright side (slightly insensitive, I know) this is the perfect opportunity for young Johnston to step in to Jonny's shoes and show us what he has.
