To be fair, I wouldn't be against him going there permanently if we were to have first option on him.

I think the best thing for him is to go back to Aberdeen for a season or two. Ideally on loan or with us having first option. I would be against him moving there indefinitely though.

I'm coming round to the idea of having Hayes. I know I should trust Rodgers anyway.

Having said that, I hope that he isn't the only winger we bring in. I'd love Roberts back, as I'm sure we all do. Definitely need someone of his abilities. Hayes, Sinclair, Forrest and another winger (Roberts) is an improvement of what we currently have.

Get what your saying it's a lot of money to aberdeen though and Aberdeen don't have to sell but I think they will if he stays they won't get that bid again and player will want to go trying to think of a player aberdeen could replace him with outwith Christie they need to be smart in tranfer market this season as they have been weakened

This will turn out to be a cracking buy for us, can just tell. Rodgers knows him very well from a young age, at 29 he is older but at his peak.

 

when i think about it,it would be good to rest sinclair for big matches and european matches to have him fresh.we have someone whos been consistent in spl for a number of years,and rodgers knows him well.hayes gives us assists and goals unlike gary mckay steven.i know some are dissapointed,but this signing is more about having good backup rather than a star signing.can hayes play left and right wing?

What's with the negative * the guy has been a pain in the * everytime we played Aberdeen and will do a job in the spl for us . Rogers knows what he's doing for * sake he just won a invincible treble for us and some questions his signings .

 

I think he would be a good signing, however I hope he is not paddys replacement. He will play a part in the 60 games we could have in the season.

 

I think £1mil plus christie on loan for a year or two would be ideal

I think we should be giving them GMS, not Christie. Overall I'd be happy to have Hayes in the squad, he works hard and can chip in with goals and assists. However, what we really need is quality players to come into the starting XI and I'm confident has Rodgers has targets like these in mind
