    Is the apparant cash + Christie deal true? Wasnt too bothered whether we signed him or not decent back up down the wings, but theres no way we should be giving them Christie AND paying cash for him imo. Madness.

    that is pretty impressive.his goalscoring record as a winger aint that good although he did get 9 this year which is decent.but his overall goals is only like 25 in 165 appearances.

    im really impressed with those assists though.anybody know his career total assists for aberdeen?

    The only benefit I see to adding Christie to any deal is if he has absolutely no future here and Brendan has decided that. Then you're looking at getting someone off the wage bill who's still got some years left on his contract.

    You need to remember he's coming from an Aberdeen side who don't exactly play free flowing, attacking football. He'll have a far far better group of players alongside him, KT overlapping, a coach who will allow him more freedom etc. I have quite high hopes for him.

    Having him, Forrest, Sinclair and another winger(Paddy Roberts:48:)will benefit us greatly next season.

    True, but we already have Forrest as a squad player. Are we suggesting Hayes or Forrest will be starters?

    What I'm saying is we don't need another right sided squad player. Waste of money.

    I think Hayes will be cheap to buy, cheap wages, and adds to the depth of squad. If we want to target the treble again plus staying in europe past xmas, we need a bigger talent pool than we have now and we know Hayes can cut it in the SPFL.

    Im not excited by the news but it makes sense. On Christie, he is 22 now. It feels like he should be good enough now to use as back up or we should move him on. I dont see another year at Aberdeen really adding much.

    With regards to Christie, I believe he's got more about him than McGregor. The difference is that one of them got handed a run of games and we know how that's panned out.

    Stuart Armstrong, at 25, has been in the SPFL team of the year 3 times.

    Whilst he's kicked on hugely this season don't kid yourself he hasn't been a good footballer since before we signed him.
