Imagine going into next season with 4 wingers...

    Sinclair
    Forrest
    Roberts
    Hayes

For me that would be excellent just my opinion

Offer them £800,000 take it or leave it.

He has no resale value so rotational SPL level is all he would be for us.

Look at his celebrations yesterday when he scored very subdued for someone scoing in a cup final

Back up I won't dispute, would be fine. However at this stage I'd be wanting another winger in ahead of him.

All the talk has been of 'tweaking' and minor changes with 2 or 3 class additions which will improve the side instantly. I think it is debatable as to whether Jonny Hayes comes under any of those.

Rodgers worked with him at Reading as a youngster so you could see something there. Then again, maybe that is why the press are running with it.

I don't think Aberdeen would sell to us in a million year.

If he comes I can only see him being used as a backup for Tierney and Sinclair. He's looked alright the few times he's played left back the last few years.

Absolutely no way should he be seen as a replacement for Roberts though. Nowhere near good enough.

They would if we gave them Christie for another year loan.

Wouldn't mind if he was replacing GMS (don't know how stretch would take it) as a back up as it's an improvement

    I don't think so personally.

He's just signed an extension so they'd be looking for £1.5m even at his age, and quite rightly to be fair, no reason why they should sell cheap.

I'm completely unsure on this. I can see the positives but would be underwhelmed at the same time.

If GMS or Christie are part of a deal then I think they would.

I'd be happy enough with GMS going the other way, but not Christie.

Interesting. He was having a little chat with him after the game as well, though I'm sure it wasn't about signing for us....but I do reckon he probably does like him..

If we want him, I reckon they'll sell to us instantly if we loan them back Christie for a year..

No way will he be a Paddy replacement. More a Gms replacement with Paddy coming back (hopefully) , or someone else of that ilk (hopefully) instead..

Agreed. If we chip in a million and Christie they would sell. McInnes is desperate to get Christie back. Make him pay the price.

There's nothing to suggest that he is a possible replacement for Roberts (if true).

We need 4 wingers, right now we have 3. GMS is worse than a man short.

Never know. Funnily enough there's a couple of articles floating about. One is Shinnie having a go at Brown for celebrating in front of the Aberdeen fans....the other is Hayes saying he has no problem with it:giggle1:

Christie is a way better player than Hayes imo, and to think * are going mental over signing McGinn ffs.

No chance he'd be Roberts' replacement mate. 4 wingers is what's required really. Sinclair, Forrest, Hayes (if it happens) and hopefully Roberts.

And to be fair, that's a good pool of wingers.

    I agree with that.

I'd be more warm to this if we got a younger, more 'exciting' signing in for the wide area to replace Roberts...or even Paddy again himself returning. Leaving us with:

Sinclair, Roberts (or some other *), Forrest and Hayes.

No-one can deny he is a much much MUCH better option than GMS.
