If he’s leaving on loan with the intention for him to play for us after, I want that loan to be to a hibs/aberdeen/motherwell. If he can score 20+ goals in our league then he’ll he a proven good enough option for us.

Just read he's only a year left on his contract so any loan will be the end of his time at Celtic, unless he's loaned out after he signs an extension, if he was in my family I'd tell him to leave as he's just not getting the games he needs with us

Depends what they offer him really. If he's going on loan and getting a decent increase at the same time might work for everyone.

I would go back to Bolton and tell them
We will take £750k or so. He is full of endeavour and has a good physique about him but he is a bang average footballer and for supposedly being this lethal finisher he should have had a hat trick first half there.

Rodgers enjoyed taking Celtic to Ireland and he was pleased to give Irish attacker Johnny Kenny another run out.

But there’s no sentimentality involved with the frontman – who he’s hoping to tie down on a new long term deal.

“Johnny actually took a bad knock in training on Monday and we weren't sure if he was going to be able to play this evening.

“But I think he was really determined to come over to Ireland and play

We would like to sign him to a new deal and then see what path it takes, whether he stays or whether he needs to go and get games. We'll know that over the coming weeks."

Just try to punt him now. I get the idea of loaning him out and maybe he does enough to make us a wee bit more money in 12 months time.

But giving him a new deal in the hope that comes to fruition? Just get rid now. Not good enough and never will be.
