More than capable of coming g on to replace brown or biton for the last 25 mins of a game already won to continue his development.

We should sign him now rather than pay x million in 24 months. I am unaware of anyone we currently have at that age who can play any defensive position at his age.

His contract is up in may. We can get him on a pre-contract in December.

He really looks good in this highlight clip vs Killie. What impresses most is that he always seems constructive going forward, charges through the midfield, comfortable in possession, great passes and aggressive defending. He bosses the midfield and is still only 18.

Looks like a star in the making:

    I'd sign him.

I think we will get him. Still think he is best at centre back from what I have seen of him.

Wanted us to sign him for a while, he will be a good player in years to come and under Ronny could be a future Scotland star.

I like him, he does look like a good prospect.

Not sure how many prospects we really need though.

Anytime I have seen him I haven't been impressed, regardless of his age. Especially when he has been played in midfield, looked uncomfortable.

I notice alot of United fans aren't rating him too highly any longer either...whether that's just bitterness with their current form or not who knows.

Thought the game last year at Tannadice after the split he looked superb in midfield, made the game * awkward as * for us! To be honest are any United players really on form???

No, that's what I'm saying. Maybe they are just being overly harsh on him due to the current position.

However I've seen him a good few times and don't get the hype. If we are thinking of him as a centre half I'd rather not bring him in either.

We have enough 'prospects' for now, IMO. John Souttar won't be the difference between whether or not we make the CL at the 3rd attempt or not.

I tend to agree with you there on the last part however I would rather our development squad had Scotland's best young talent going off and competing in the European cups and English tournaments and pushing for a place in our first team than heading south or worse North!

He won't come here to sit in the development squad though, mate.

He can train with the first team make substitute appearances perhaps the odd start and still play for our development squad can he not? I don't know all of the rules surrounding that sort of situation.

Aye but the thing is he is getting regular football with United and is no doubt being watched by teams down south at this point.

If he was willing to give up first team football for a large period of time, as he would be by coming here, I'd be surprised.

I think the holding 2 is somewhere we could well not exactly improve on but have more cover. If Bitton or Brown get injured we do have players that can fill in there but the players that do fill in its not exactly their strongest position.
