Im not sure its something that would necessarily be made public knowledge.
Would you imagine we will be the only team interested in Mcginn?
Clubs will be well aware of when offers are submitted for players.

 

That's my thinking, as well, especially with Armstrong and Rogic seemingly out the door.

 

Pretty sure the only two clubs who’ve bid for McGinn are Forest and Ipswich. Certain they both bid under £1m aswell.

 

Clearly Im not referring to past bids. Im talking about what could potentially happen in the coming window and the circumstances that could lead to his price rising. Everyone knows he has one year left to run so id imagine hibs will want to cash in now rather than risk losing him on a free, like what is happening with Mcgeouch and what happene with Fyvie.
There has been more recent speculation that along with us, cardiff and west ham have shown an interest. Pretty sure they will be able to match a bid we place if they choose to.

 

I said 2.5mil and kouassi for a years loan and was laughed at, its defo a deal id like to see us pursuing especially if armstrong leaves which looks likely.

Keep changing my mind on him. I've never been super impressed with him against Celtic, but he seems a consistently good performer domestically and despite our European intentions we shouldn't turn our nose up at players like that. Signings like him could either go the way of Armstrong (in the sense that they are good enough in SPFL but not in CL) or they could blossom and be Browns.

For 3 million or less i'd take the gamble - and I don't think it'd be much of one. Also don't think spreading some cash around the league is a bad thing. For the first time in decades the likes of Hibs have a real chance to progress and make the whole country better as a result. We shouldn't just pinch their best players for * all, especially as we moan when English clubs do the same to us.

Yes I know we're a business not a charity but fans want and players need more competition. I'd rather we were winning the league by 1 point every year if it meant we competed properly in the group stages. Not that giving Hibs a few mill will instantly achieve that, but will mean more money and better players in general. I think Lennon has proven to be really good in the low end transfer market. If he can find some Kayals or Hoopers for Hibs they should make 2nd place theirs tbh.

Wouldn't bother me a jot if he went there. Brown and Ntcham far superior players. Armstrong better most of the time. Kouassi still developing. I'd have Bitton over McGinn, as well.

We'll be signing much better.
