Zenit and Hearts, when we all thought he’d finally broken into the team.

Its the same argument in here over and over.

Firstly Kouassi and McGinn are different types of players, Kouassi is best as sitting mid where as McGinn is box to box and battling in the middle.

Secondaly I think he’s going to be a replacement for Armstrong, Rogic also not signed a deal yet so he might be going.

Lastly we’d be daft not to sign him, he has all the makings of a top quality centre mid, just look how far Armstrong and McGregor came along under Rodgers just imagine how much he can step McGinn’s game up. Not to mention McGinn is definitely a big game player.

Good points, I see him as a replacement for Armstrong rather than Broony.
Not to say he may not end up in the holding role in a few years.

McGinn won’t be a replacement for anyone. He’d go in and compete for a place and if he’s better than the other players in his position, he’ll be in the squad. Simple as that.

Yes some players might leave but I don’t think he’d be specifically replacing anyone. He’s a good Scottish player that could be developed into a great player.

Exactly, good thing about McGinn is he can pretty much play any position, even good cover for full back like we’ve done with McGregor.
His fight and drive is something we miss in the team when Broony is not playing, its a no brainer.

Spot on, I would hate to miss out on him and see him go to england for the sake of a few million.
Surley Brendan has seen enough of him in the games he's played against us to justify signing him, it's a safe signing unlike some signings recently.

Mcginn today- 2 assists and man of the match.
    Scott Allan- 3 assists.
Worth keeping an eye on Kamberi. Think he has 7 goals in 12 games now. Tall, fast and strong. Not a strong record before hibs but has been very good for them.

Watched the highlights and McGinn played 2 superb balls in for his assists, great passing ability.

Cash plus Allan is good deal, probably be around the 3/4M mark.

I don't know why but I'm still not sold on him.

I can't really put my finger on it, maybe it's in the back of my mind that we aren't really in a position that allows us to wait on him developing in the same way Brown was afforded.

He's a talent no doubt but still don't think he's quite there yet to be a Celtic mainstay.

    Extremely..

He's only got a year left. Allan has been instrumental since going there..

We'd be giving them Allan for fuckall to be 1 of their top player's and paying well over the odds for a guy who wouldn't be a guaranteed starter for us..

I'd be tempted to sell Allan for half decent money to England hopefully on the back of his second Hibs stint instead of doing them a favour effectively..

Who was trying to argue with me that he’d had a far better season than McGeouch? @Markybhoy

Think brendan can work his magic on him probably get him for 2.5-3m going by reports, and for those saying he wont get a game, It's a squad game and you can never have too many good players, especially young players and he's Scottish with room to improve than let him go down south..probably depends on what Armstrong is doing though.

I think for £3 million we should sign him up, he might not fit right into the first team next season as we already have enough midfielders but I think over the next 2 or 3 years as other players leave he could establish himself as a top player for us.

I would take mcgeouch winning awards over him with a pinch of salt. I mean kris boyd was nominated for player of the year over dembele but I dont think premier league sides down south will be looking at signing boyd instead

When you think that ntcham only cost 4 million and he is streets ahead of mcginn then 3million seems too much for me. He's 24 this year as well so can no longer be considered a good prospect

well ntcham cost £4.5 million, mcginn is being talked about as £3 million, so different prices, and for me they are different players he would be signed with having Armstrong leaving, and brown potentially winding down a bit as he gets a bit older(hopefully not for a couple years!) I'm not sure if ntcham will be looking to stay long term either.

it would be like saying hypothetically if we had already signed dembele then griffiths became available to sign then we shouldn't sign him due to perceptions that dembele is streets ahead of him. in both situations different players who could actually compliment each other.

also I like having a strong scottish core in the squad, I think it helps with morale
