I always trust a Celtic rumour where they can't even spell our own player's name..

I just don't see how he would get game time here with Brown just coming off probably his best season for us. Of course he won't last forever but he must still have at least 2/3 seasons in him. In which case McGinn would suffer from a lack of games. The only was it would work would be buying him to loan out.

I think he would benefit from playing abroad to improve other parts of his game.

The game has changed since then and the gap between ourselves and the decent/top end European clubs is growing all the time. Brown has been excellent for us in Europe but the reason he's been good is because he's NOT the player he was when he 1st came here. That Scott Brown was much like McGinn is now 10/10 for effort but 5/10 ability with a headless chicken quality to him. He's good now because he plays much more maturely, picks his battles, reads the game, keeps things simple and passes well. There's always a chance McGinn could do similar but nothing i've seen from him has me believing he would. Johnny Hayes is a fair example too, said by most to be the best player in the league outwith our squad, get him signed a lot of tims said. I said don't bother we need better and have so far been proven right, he's done little if anything, £1M+ wasted so far.

Except Broony has always been good in Europe for us. Still think the best performance he’s had in a Celtic strip was the 1-0 against Benfica where he and McGeady ran riot.

Our most effective player in Europe this year was McGregor and Forrest, we produced both of them but both of them were born and bred in the SPFL (with a loan to England for McGregor)

Bit harsh on Hayes that as well, guy broke his leg when he was coming into form.

Was he though? not being harsh m8 just don't believe in praising people for being average, which is a problem Scottish football has and needs to get rid of if it wants to improve.

Yes, he was. Spartak Moscow he cleared a ball off the line and bossed the midfield to get us theough the tie, Benfica that year he was * exceptional - to such a degree that Binya tried to break his leg, absolute bossed Man United and done a job on Ronaldo (again who got so frustrated he booted Broony and got * all done against him), * even against Aalborg he was the only * booting his * and got a perfectly good goal chopped off that should have won us the tie.

Even under Tony Mowbray I remember him coming on and playing just off of Samaras against Dynamo Moscow and made a big impact in the away victory despite not even being fit. Was exceptional under Lenny and he’s a different monster under Rodgers altogether.

It is harsh on Hayes, he was coming on to a game then broke his leg, there’s not much opportunity to prove yourself when your legs snapped in half.

Personally think Kouassi is a better player than McGinn, would rather give him more of a chance than can sign another Cm

I think he'd be competing more with Ntcham than Brown. At least there you can see that they have very different playstyles and could be rotated for certain games. Aggression is a great trait to have and one that we don't really have with most of our players.

I think I've changed my mind about this guy. I would take him at Celtic now.

I think we will sign him.

I don't necessarily think he is a fantastic player yet, but at 22 I see another level or two in him, definitely. I think Rodgers does too.

I'd like to see more of him, I'd take McGinn now loan him back for a year and throw in Allen to boot might get him a bit cheaper

We'd be stupid not to. He's going to go for 10-20m in EPL in the future. Has all the qualities you'd want from a midfielder.

Also, why wouldn't we play both him and Brown together? Especially in Europe this would be a good mix.

Fairy dust, fluff and dreams. Not seen enough of Kouassi really to judge, in my opinion. I like his confidence...there's definitely potential there, but he's a different type of midfielder in my eyes.

I don't think he will ever go for 10 million unless he plays in the Championship first and proves himself. I myself am not all that fussed about improving our midfield as I actually think it is pretty strong as it is. Maybe a replacement for someone like Sinclair but nothing more. I think our defense needs to be sorted out first.

Heard this a few times now. This is nonsense and completley without basis.
Mcginn is an established SPL player. Kouassi hasnt even broken into our team yet and has hardly played any first team games in relative comparison.
Theres numerous examples of Mcginn having stand out games against decent opposition. I cant think of one stand out competative game iv saw Kouassi play.
