    Possibly, whether or not there's one that meets Hibs demands and that he fancies is another matter.

    Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so obtuse as you make an interesting point but aren't all the best players bought before their contract is up. We desperately need to fill the massive whole Brown is going to leave and I don't like to use that adjective when talking about Celtic replacing any player because we are a team intelligent players should be lining up to play for.

    But most people on here, especially the folk who know players and football, reckon McGinn is a natural replacement for him so we should try our best to get him before he thinks we don't believe in him and he takes an offer from down south were belief is replaced by money.

    January is a long way away and we must have millions to spend on the right player. We will have to spend a lot more to attract foreign players like Ntcham. I don't imagine Hibs asking for £5m. £3m tops and I'd be happy to if we made that gamble because I believe in our training regime and also Brendan will be here till the end of his contract so that's two years of world class instruction plus Broony is a great tutor and inspirational character himself so why not just get it over and done with.

    I'm not against moving for him but I would be against anything near £3 million for him with 12 months left on his deal.

    I imagine we'll be asking for around that for Armstrong and at this moment in time he's a far more established and experienced player.

    With the way Broony is playing this season I'm not sure a replacement for him is a priority. RB, CB and a replacement for Dembele if he goes are the priorities in my opinion.

    I agree with almost everything you said but I have to argue a couple of points, the defence is a priority for sure but I think the next position is midfield as I'm sure our forward line is still capable of winning the league without Dembele but Brown has such an effect on our game I'm not sure everyone appreciates it. I'm not being emotional when I say I would rather give Dembele away for nothing than Brown even though he might have 3 seasons left in him. He wins us titles and he puts all his heart and soul into it. We need to replace him before he leaves so that he can pass on his knowledge and passion and positional sense. I don't know if he'll be able to pass on his long passes as that is a natural gift very few players have because it can't be learnt unless the player is so committed he practices it every night long after everyone else has gone home to their families or out with their friends as is normal for normal folk and most people no matter what profession are normal. Broony isn't normal is the basic point I'm trying to make and the Celtic board have to realise that before it's too late.

    Armstrong has nothing to do with this thought because he will be easy to replace, in fact I think he'd be silly to move because there is no way he's going to find a higher ground.

    Wee *..

    Hope Broony snaps him second half..

    Knew he'd done Rogic earlier. Accidentally or no. What does he do 10 seconds later after he's looked to see Tam down after he'd caught him on the face with his elbow? Plays a forward pass and tries to attack us..

    Impressed today but I don't know if he ups his game for us rather than being a top player.
    Would probably take a punt if Armstrong leaves.

    Replacement for Armstrong rather than Brown. Not sure if he has the ability to sit back and defend the way that Brown does. More box to box in my opinion and better going forward.

    He always plays out of his skin against us but quite often will go missing against smaller teams.

    Imagine how much more our attacking players would be able to flourish with him sitting beside Broony in midfield absolutely bossing any sort of physical threat?

    * me.
