I agree and I’m unsure if McGinn would make us stronger, for me the situation has annoyed me.
If Brendan wanted him, or any other player at that, I feel the board are letting him down.

Aw * it’s starting already, Lawwell bravely holding his ground against the despotic Hibernian, who’s ghoulish chairman is out to get us.

Or else we * about and we’ve quite rightly been burned.

Peter Lawwell, 9 years on not learning his lesson.

Its hibs who set the value ya numpty, hes no our player. Its basic business, supply and demand. He is in demand so his value will increase. Should we have sold Tierney just because Everton valued him at £25m?

Its how Rodgers sees him thats important. He has spoken highly of him for a while, If he wins us games and trophies then the supporters will soon follow suit.

It’s clear from the managers comments he’ll be far from happy if this doesn’t come off.

Over to you Pedro - finger out

    Is it actually confirmed?

He could just be down there to hear them out and if he really wants to come to us, it gives us an indicator that he is in demand elsewhere and we can't just sit tight and wait for the English window to close.

It's the right play from him, hear them out and force us to sit up straight and realise we need to up the ante if we want to secure him.

McGinn definitely makes us stronger IMO and it's also a matter of keeping Brendan happy too.

Or the truth lies somewhere in between and making conclusions without knowing all the facts is pointless conjecture?

Be interesting to see what happens, as you say he could use this to his advantage if we do really want him, can claim Villa offered him £20k a week and he wants £1million up front and £15k a week from us, which is probably near double what we'd have been wanting to give him.

Only thing is he'd need us to have a bid accepted while the Villa bid is still on the table.

Agreed but that shouldnt stop us from improving. Domestically we are in a strong position but from a european stand point we are gambling.

Nah, I’m talking about how our fans will end up percieving it. It is absolute fact we went in with pure * take bids to open the transfer talks.

Funny enough, the very same thing guys like @Blochairnbhoy are slating the Huns with regarding Kyle Lafferty.

    How is it 'fact'?

Are you meaning reported figures of £1.5, £1.75 and £2 million?

Who cares what supporters think of a player, doesn’t matter one iota. All about what the team thinks- the manager, the staff who evaluate talent.

I can understand this point of view, and that some feel that we should be looking at players with of a better calibre than JM. But currently, we lack the depth we had last season. And so by having the added depth of JM in the squad, we are stronger than without.

It doesnt make sense that this has rumbled on for so long. If he was a target he should have been secured and on the pre season plane to Austria, before any of the other teams came in.

Our transfer policy continues to be bemusing. * are we going after Arzani for when we have just signed Morgan and have Hayes on the wage bill? And now Roberts possibly too?

Ah, so you reckon the bids are media made up and the likes of Rodgers discussing our interest is a load of *?
