    Guilty.

Mate, I had thought he was utter, utter dross for ages and wanted rid ASAP, but I acknowledge that I was 100% wrong, because Rodgers quite simply would not have kept him as first team coach if that were the case. Deserves his share of the credit, absolutely.

Also reading that long post by Crow (posted on Feb 26th, but I only just read it now) is heartbreaking. Of course I knew the history, I'm actually old enough to remember his performance at the Nou Camp, but I never really thought through what the kind of injury he got for against Romania means for a young kid (as he was at the time) and it really does underline the lack of protection KT is getting from the Ganeas of this world right now.

I also must admit I actually didn't really like him very much as a person either and reading Crow's post I realise how wrong I was about that too.

Any JK fans can consider my words well and truly eaten.

And Ronny flung him under a bus at one point and blamed him. Good to see him quietly growing as a coach outwith the spotlight.

Ronny had a tendency to do that, like when he blamed the players after Malmo (I think it was). I reckon that's one reason why the players would run through brick walls for Lenny but not for Ronny.
One of these days I want to write a post about Ronny, because I feel a lot of nonsense has been said about him by both sides of that debate (and oddly enough I don't think he gets enough credit for what he brought to Celtic and did right or enough criticism for his flaws and mistakes), but this thread is about JK and fair play to the guy.

He could have cashed in at his benefit game against Man Utd. Especially as it was a sell out and sold to channel 5 if I remember correctly. He didn't and he donated it on and that speaks volumes of who he is. I was critical last season also but also of RD and JC. Now John can hopefully develop further and his time spent under Deila will be as important as his time with Brendan.

    Still dont rate him.

Seems a perennial survivor of regime change and is kept around as simply an anchor for new coaches.

JK on Shaun Maloney: "We're happy to bring him on board. He'll bring a lot; professionalism, personality and a wealth of experience."

JK: "He's had spells in England and the US, an FA Cup winner. He's someone for the younger players to look up to

JK: "He's a player who has studied the game. He's an example for the young players and gives us another voice they can relate to."

JK: "Shaun is a good friend of mine. He's been through the process and understands the pressures and transitions for young players."

JK on young team v @OfficialKillie: "It's important. The manager wants to win games and trophies but also develop our own players."

JK: "It was a very young team but an extremely high performance. A big plus for everybody."

JK: "The easy option is to stick with the same team but we wanted to give them the opportunity."

JK on @patrick7roberts: "Patrick had a fantastic time here. @ManCity have him under contract. We have to be patient and see what happens."

JK on @anthonyralston8: "He played like a 25 year-old. He has a very similar character to @kierantierney1, very professional."

JK: "That's a credit to @CelticFCAcademy. You need the swagger, the belief that you are a good player and he showed that."

JK on @ThistleTweet: "There'll be changes again; make sure everyone gets enough game time

JK: "We have a big game next week but our focus is on @ThistleTweet. We're in a good place right now."

JK on @ebouekouassi97 injury: "We're awaiting scan results. It looks better than first feared."

I'd forgotten about this post. My mate got it as a rumour off a podcast early June.
You're absolutely right, nothing in it.

Saw a clip of him on the television yesterday and he looked * massive. Huge arms. Was it just the angle or is he built?

I have been lucky enough to have spent a fair bit of time in his company and I can tell you from personal experience that he is a credit to himself and to Celtic. A really generous and friendly guy not big headed or arrogant at all. I have nothing but good things to say about him as a person and from a football side of things he is working hard at his own craft and is just like some of the players who have benefited from Brendan Rodgers is someone who is learning so much himself under Rodgers.
