I see people saying that he worked well under Deila and Rodgers, true but he was never the Assistant Manager. The responsibilities and demands dwarf his previous roles. Basically we have someone who is learning on the job, that has never experienced anything but good times (as a coach) and is now facing extreme adversity in a demanding position. He'll be struggling. Combine that with the fact that the manager probably would never have picked him as his assistant in a million years and you start to see why their dynamic might not be conducive to getting the best from the squad.

    Makes some sense.
You have to assume he must surely have learned something from Rodgers for a few years, even duff and previous deila being at the club.
Night and day how those guys approach football management, surely, surely if Kennedy was more like Lennon's approach than those guys, then we wouldn't be hearing all the praise he has gotten from these guys?

So, yeah I think I see your point.
He has probably been sitting qhiet for awhile (another debate entirely) thinking his time was going to come and he will fix it with Lennon gone.
But maybe that face last night was a case of "*, he's going to keep this all season now"?

Sounds weird, considering he's also been a part of this disaster and deserves to be booted out for that as well. As much as some question the players professionalism for downing tools, he needs that same criticism for doing the same if that's the case here.

But aye, think I get what you mean about him. He really should have taken the Hibs job to continue his own development with an eye to come back to Celtic in a few years.

I know it sounds trivial and maybe just how he is normally but it was the look on his face when the players were walking off the park after that performance. Surely any decent Celtic coach would have been buzzin after that, he looked liked he'd just lost a million pound bet or somethin

One very obvious possible interpretation (admittedly among many) would be that he'd been told that one more * up and he'd take over as caretaker for the season. Another possibility that occurs to me is that maybe he had been saying to play that team for ages and now was finally listened to and proven right when it was too late for Europe (and most likely also the league) and so was feeling angry.

The one thing that's sure is that he wasn't happy about something. The plot is certainly thickening.

On yet another hand, I thought Lenny's interview was very interesting: I've never seen a manager mention a "good atmosphere" as much, almost like he was desperate for us to infer that the previous atmosphere was bad. But then again, that could quite easily be referring to the 3 amigos.

I really want to know what the * has been happening. It's driving me crazy.

Absolutely this, he’s not daft. I remember watching Damien Duff’s interview on open goal and he was raving about him as a coach. My honest feeling is he’s only too aware how Lennon’s team selection (esp. Brown) has been killing us this season, and how we really have to be careful and hope he doesn’t revert to type and start playing the previous team (esp. Brown) regularly again. Might get pelters for saying it but while I don’t think he’s the answer, I think he is a considerably better option than Lenny is in the top position.
