John Kennedy

He suffered a terrible injury early on which put paid to his career. The fact Celtic stood by him and found him a new role to pursue and remain at the club is testament to the them. They have moulded him into a valuable member of the coaching structure and possibly a future position beyond that. He has remained loyal to the club that he adores and his contribution behind the scenes has been immense as he rose up through the different levels, learning and perfecting his new trade. He might not be the finished article in a managerial position yet but he is learnt from various excellent role models over the years. I wouldn't be surprised if he did finally take the reigns of a future team and become successful at that as well. Lets face it, there must be something about him or he wouldn't still be at Celtic for the length of time he has and continue under the amount of managers he has worked with.

 

I think he's a much better coach than a lot of people give him credit for.

Both Ange and Rodgers wanted to take him with them when they left us, and both were more than happy to work with him when they joined, his stint with Lennon probably soured people on him, but I think it's clear that was more so on Lennon than him.

I do think he'll leave when Rodgers leaves, not necessarily to follow him, but I suspect he'll have offers to manage another team. Shouldn't be us to begin with, but I think he has the makings of a good manager for the future.
