If he goes he’ll be a big loss.

However, he’s been with us so long that a new challenge is entirely appropriate.

Btw anyone still holding that interim manager spell against him is being wilfully stupid.

Guy fully deserves his move, don't get the idiots on here giving him stick. He is arguably more important than Ange as he is the only link to our last decade of success and is key to our next manager knowing what he has to work with. Knows the club, players inside out. If he and Strachan go I think we are effectively doing a rebuild job next season, as it will be quite jarring to the players as well and I dont know how some might handle that knowing they've also lost the guys on the training pitch as well as the manager.

Was the Eddie Howe situation not because his own back room staff wouldn’t join him here? Not because JK was here?

Is gone, the package is being arranged. We are holding out for best we can.

It’s a big change now for us - again, I’m not that gutted. I honestly didn’t like the look of next season. We need a fresh management team, fresh ideas. Has to be the right team but if we get it right it’s better than status quo would have been as we were not winning the league next season IMO.

again, I’m glass half full and think Ange was great but actually the time had come. For all parties. Been on smoke for some time, we need a fresh change again

I'd seen that rumour, I think people can bring in their own guys. We've seen Kewell show up since Ange came in.

Bit mental to say we weren't winning the league next year.

Aye Rangers defo nipping at our heels a bit more this year with some close games and they will only improve next season. But Ange was Mr Consistent for us. Won everything that mattered domestically. Would have been more confident with Ange at the helm next year than some of the names on the shortlist

Not mental mate, an honest opinion.

We were growing stagnant and too dependent on the same few players.

For me that’s been a few months most part.

I’m not against a change up, but agree it would be far more pleasant and chilled if Ange was here for another season

Zombies all getting excited thinking he’s getting the job or staying on giving it the “he’s useless”… etc.

Then Kennedy is going to Spurs they are all saying Offt what a nightmare for them losing such a top coach and so on.

Doesn’t matter what we do they convince themselves it’s going to floor us for being all staunch but goes the complete opposite way and we sweep up all the trophy’s. Beautiful!

I agree - I don't think we showed up well against the Zombies this year, 4-0 win aside. Ok, we won the games, but they were a Sakala miss into the side net a few times from being completely different results. I don't he dominated them as well as we should have, and didn't seem to have an answer to their flooding of the midfield.

Sevco we're not nipping at our heels. It's just that noone else gave them any challenge, or the refs cut them off at the knees if they did. It's impossible to pull away from a team if noone else I'd taking anything from them.

But the only time they bettered us was in a closed stadium, in a dead rubber, when it was everything to them and we'd already slipped the gears into neutral for a glide... In every game there was definitely a sense we had more to offer and they were busting a gut to keep it close/level until it no longer mattered

Completely agree with this. A lot of non- supporting Celtic fan mates have asked me my thoughts on ange going. And I actually think over the last 6 months we haven’t been the same team performance wise. Sounds ridiculous as we’ve still gone on to win everything. But that spark just hasn’t been there and especially against rangers. Probably should have beat us the last few times before the 3-0.
A fresh start and approach might be needed to take it up a level

They're the only team we play domestically who don't tire, crack under pressure and who can match us physically - often much more so, with no repercussion. I always felt we didn't take that seriously enough, and we're waiting for them to crumble, rather than going up the gears and actually pounding them back.

Buy, I always felt that the close nature, or defeat, was down to US more than them. And a lot of that complacent attitude allowed chances against us too

He’s leaving after years of service and not during middle of a season best highlight was probably his loyalty to the club when Rodgers done a midnight flit

Took a whole backroom staff and Kennedy told him gtf and took up duties with nl

That's my big recollection too... Rodgers left, took his own people with him and tried to take Kennedy and Duff, but they told him to ram it... I was stunningly grateful to them both for that (and I'm sure a couple of others too, that I didn't realize) because they probably held * together for us when we could have stumbled

There’s got to be something about him as Rodger’s tried to take him to Leicester but I’m hoping he leaves and gets more experience, even learning more from Ange.

Maybe he comes back as manager one day, but honestly think it’s about time he moved on.

Hoping a few of the staff move on, would prefer our next manager gets to bring in their own team!
