Nah I'd say that's a pretty accurate assumption. He always appears like that anyway.

His mind has went from the moment we offered him a contract which he deemed as derogatory and in doing so has affected his form on the park. Think it was about £10K we offered him and he's on about £30K atm so would have probably been looking for something similar maybe 20-25K which were no giving him. He's took the huff saying to himself that's all they value me at so I'm just going to down tools now as you've been disrespectful towards me and my ability so I'm not going to play like the same way I was the first few months at the club.

He's still a great striker imo and has bags of ability although I will concede pace is an issue. A happy Guidetti is a great player and had we offered him a decent contract I'm pretty sure he'd be playing like the way he was the first few months here with everyone raving about him. That ship has now sailed.

Shocker the internet boys have turned their attention from Jackie Mac to John. What sort of loyalty does a man on a 1 year loan owe to the club? He is living up to his end of the bargain and then some. As for the not celebrating get a life and find something meaningful to get upset about. Maybe have a look at how your hero Lawwell is handling this situation eh?

Are you blaming the club for not making Guidetti one of our highest paid players?

Thought he done alright yesterday. He offers more than Griffiths imo but if he wants a decent contract here then he is going to have to start showing it more often.

If he wants a decent contract anywhere he better start showing it more often.

He was showing it with the start he made here in the first few months proving he had what it took to become a prolific goal-scoring striker. He practically dragged us through games with his goals and eased the pressure that was on Ronny those first few months whilst the team were struggling for performances on the park getting the manager important wins and points also seeing us through cup rounds against Hearts and Partick Thistle.

Imo he had done enough to be awarded a decent enough contract in our terms which is about 20-25K a week, instead of the 10K he was offered and was obviously offended as he may have seen it as disrespectful and you cant really blame him tbh. We blew it with him he'd still be the same player we had at the start had we offered him decent money.

You'll see when he moves on in the Summer what a great striker he still is and we missed out on permanantly.

Don't have a clue why he did it so I'm not judging him for it, but I hate seeing players not celebrate a goal.

I don't know what the world record is for assumptions made it one post but I think this must be pretty close.

Our top contracts are given either for those how have earned it through excelling performance over a sustained period of time for us or for players who arrive at the club having already proved they are worth it (a la Robbie Keane.)

How do you know what he was offered? How do you know this offended him?

I assume this is made-up pish to suit your agenda.

"Seen us through games against Partick and Hearts." The game won 6 nil and 4 nil aye? :smiley-laughing002:

The only good thing we know is that he has had one season in his pro-career that he has hit double digits before joining us (approx 20 inc 7 penalties), has joined Man City where he failed the grade (no shame in that), had a failed loan at Stoke.

He has faced possible career threatening medical conditions and generally struggled for fitness in his career too. To what level he can get back to that "wonder" season level is completely unknown.

When you state the unknown future as fact to "prove a point" then you are in the realms of fantasy.

Add on the numerous behavioural problems he has seen at many clubs means that to offer Mr John Guidetti anywhere NEAR the levels of our top earners is way past the point of bordering on insanity.

First he needs to screw he nut, show a better attitude, secure our first choice striker position and batter in loads of goals for us. If he does that then we'll see what happens next.

^^^^^Does this guy get paid by the club or what or is he just angling for a PR position?

Just watching the Feynoord vs PSV game and they where talking about Guidetti, cameraman was on the Feynoord Technical Director and they where talking about how he has just returned from Glasgow after discussing a deal for Guidetti.

Said they expect a deal done for him and Kuyt soon.

Can't argue against any of that. Bang on and I'm a fan of Guidetti but if he wants to stay here he needs to stop the childishness and go back to the attitude that made him a fan favourite so quickly.

The cocky attitude never sat well with me. I remember saying that I thought he'd annoy the * out of me if I knew him.

Good player, but given his wage demands I reckon there's probably loads of players known to the club who they feel represent better value for money.

Excellent finish on his weaker foot, getting in to good positions but I always felt our quick play was breaking down with his lack of pace and delaying the pass/trying to be over cute with the extra pass/flick. He's a big threat though..

The thing that * me off about John Guidetti is he doesn't seem to realize that he could be so much more than he is .
He has the ingredients to be something very very special here ,but he has to work on it.
Ronny is the master at bringing out the best in young talented players.
If he leaves in years to come he will be saying to himself he should have fired his agent and listened to us.

I think he thinks he'll get a better move next season.
