I'm wondering if he is actually saying that to make a point to Lawwell... I mean the way he trotted round the ground at Celtic Park after Inter doesn't seem like a fella who's desperate to move away. Think about it.

Then again, he might be just using us like a fat burd on a Saturday night.

I agree that his work rate should improve, As for the other thing i dont recall there ever being a dressing room revolt about wages. I am not advocating giving him 50k or anything like it. 20k is reasonable. John is a good player and i have no doubt he will be brilliant for us if we get him. We have the money so i dont want to see us let him go when we encounter very little risk signing him. If we spend 2m on a fee and half the wages we give John over the 4 years it is the same thing. History has told us that we will fail more often than not on strikers at this price. We have a player at the club who is good enough to fill this role for us over the next few years. I dont understand the resistance to this tbh

Big time. It's a negotiation tactic. It is clear he loves it here and we are low balling him. It is very important for Ronny to get this deal done. We need stability at the club. Our defence will be brand new for the qualifiers so we should make sure that we are settled at the front. A new striker combined with a new defence could cost us in the qualifiers

He should prove he is worth a deal in attitude then Celtic decide whether he's worth an offer.

He doesn't deserve it at the moment, his attitude will need to improve dramatically and instantly.

Hi guys, as a Feyenoord supporter (and Celtic fan) I always follow the boards here and ofcourse Guidetti has a history with us.
But it's only due to the fact that he scored 2 back to back hattricks (one against arch rival Ajax) that his name is still big in Rotterdam.
From his ''superseason'' of 21 goals, 4 were penalties and 6 were the aforementioned 2 hattricks.

He also has a smart way of getting engaged with the club, trying to be loved by his tweets and his contact with the fanatical fans. Funny to see how you guys are going through a similar thing we had..first everyone loves him, then they see that he isnt as great as everybody thinks.

Still..should be good to have him back on our side for the off chance he does manage to perform well!

This is from someone who has seen him at both clubs.
JG has been playing the fans like a banjo out of deliverance.
Tells us what we want to hear and then his action do not match his words...all talk imo.

Embarrassing. The guy just said in an interview he hopes to go to Feyenoord, whilst he's sitting in a Celtic top.

Plus the wages he'll be after will be double what he's worth.

If he really wants to stay then he has to change his attitude and stop acting as if he is the next Henrik and Messi rolled into one.

Ronny is no fool when it comes to picking his starting XI and there has to be good reason why Guidetti isn't starting or getting as much game time as he thinks he should.

Pretty sure Ronny has given every player the chance to show their commitment to being better athletes and players in training and in matches. So they all know if not doing as asked they will no longer be picked to play.

End of the day if he goes then so be it I'm sure Ronny has other players on his list who can do just as well if not better.

The players will have seen his latest "interview as well as us you know" Do you think Broony is happy to see/watch that ?
£20k per week would be reasonable FOR a striker who was improving under Ronny and showing a desire to improve, that is not happening here.
He initially seemed to be filling the role, however lately he has most certainly NOT shown that he is the answer.

We had a similar discussion about Commons and I said Pete was likely not offering Commons the deal he wanted due to Ronny saying he was not in his plans and guess what, that is exactly what was happening.
The same thing is probably happening here, Ronny is failing to see any desire/improvement in JG and therefore will advise Pete of this and there will be no offer .. thankfully.
He has the remainder of the loan to show Ronny he wants to improve and remain here , just like Commons did, the difference is Commons wanted to be here does JG ?

The only other problem JG now faces is he has been seen to be touting himself out to other clubs, while sat in OUR CLUBS dressing room , for me he is finished and can go now. * him.
Griff may not be everyone's cup of tea but at least he runs his guts out and puts as much effort in as possible and is also grateful to be here.

    Well said.:50:

Great point about the likes of Scott Brown seeing that interview. Hopefully him, Commons, Mulgrew etc all see that. He's a disrespectful fat * that should just be sent back to City to rot on the bench for the reserves.

A personally don't think there is anyway back for him to be honest. He will be let go, and so he should!
No player is bigger than the club and a think at the start he thought he was our saviour! The guy is still a kid and is full of immaturity which isn't what our club needs as it is broadcast everywhere hence the Griffiths saga! A think he was reading his own articles and it going to his head and as a result felt he was some hero that didn't need to make changes!! His fitness, weight and reputation have been tarnished! Along with an attitude that will always be there!!

He is not our player. He is on loan and is out of contract in the summer. I am certain we can compete with Fyenord in terms of wages. He will be a good signing for us. Having him will make our squad better. We can afford him. He is a big game player. He is currently off form. I dont like how some posters are calling him a * etc. If we sign him and give him time he will be a top striker for us. Just remember he has not had a real full season of football yet. If we get him he will get better. The alternative is another pukki/scep type set up by Lawwells Israeli mate. I'd rather have Gudetti who we know can do the business at home and in europe

I hope he does go to Feyernoord and they drop interest in Michiel Kramer. We should go for the big man from Ado Den Haag instead.

Seen a lot of your posts in this forum on different sunjects and you always look to go against what the majority of fans are saying. I am sure you do it for some sort of attention or because you have nothing better to do but argue. How you cannot understand why folk here would find what Guidetti has done completely disrespectful and thereforr call him any name under the sun is beyond me.

Im not great with internet terms but I think troll may be appropriate Im not sure

I rate John Gudetti as a player. I think it would be a mistake to not sign him. If half the forum disagrees then fine. That does not make me a troll though.

Edit: In fact i resent the accusation some boy compared him to Judas on back there and yet i am the troll because i want us to sign a good player.

How any fan doesnt take offence to a player disrepecting our club is beyond me. Guidetti has zero class, after all the club have done for him giving him a chance to resurrect his career and all the support he has recieved from the fans we expect much better.
Wanyama, Hooper and Forster all players that wanted to leave in recent years but showed the fans and club the repect we deserved.
