I'm not super confident he'll sign in January tbh. Hope I'm wrong, don't get me wrong, just have a bad feeling...

Think we'd have strolled into the CL group stages with a match fit Guidetti in the team.

His link-up with Stokes is very similar to Suarez/Sturridge. If super John can score and Stokes can pick him out, I'm okay with that!

I agree. We can never match what City pay their reserves even on Celtic first team salary, but what we can offer is support & passion at every ground like no-one else can.

Stokes is not the answer as a foil and never will be. As for the Suarez/Sturridge comparison, I have no words.

Jeez man I overhyped it I obviously don't mean it's as good but for the goal, the run and pass was very good to watch, y'know a striker making a run into the box...

He isn't the answer and never will be but for now he's playing some of his best football as a creator and that has to be recognized.

It's an analogy folks. It's like saying Ryan Gauld's playing side is similar to that of Lionel Messi. It doesn't mean Ryan Gauld's going to embarrass Thiago Silva any time soon.

Stokes will defo be a good foil for Guidetti, domestically at least..

He knows exactly where a striker needs the ball, and it's only its own finishing that can let him down..

They played 15 minutes up front as a partnership, ended up with 1 goal with an assist from the strike partner. Shows what happens when you support the man up top.

St Mirren had 6 defenders at times on the weekend. 1 striker is not enough. Especially the way we play with one striker, there is very little support to him or runs beyond the striker.

But there isn't really any comparison to be made between them at all, other than the fact that they are two strikers, so not a great analogy.

Your Ryan Gauld and Messi comparison is decent because they do genuinely have a similar style of play and diminutive frame.
