He's a clever player, if the pass is the better option, he'll pass. He's not this super greedy striker..

He worked his * off tonight and made 3 or 4 excellent runs in behind the defence which were either called (wrongly) offside or not picked out by the midfielders.

    Not his fault.

you really are clueless . " movement " isnt judged solely on ground covered . chuck me on in a celtic jersey on a saturday night when im charged off my nut and ill cover more ground than anyone , doesnt mean i have good movement . Guidetti makes cleverer, better runs . the type of runs he makes drags defenders away and create time and space for our attacking midfielders. part of the reason our midfield had so muc space tonight was because guidetti was playing on the shoulder and constantly making clever runs in behind . nightmare for defenders. imo griffiths makes the simpler, less inventive runs into the channels that are easier to defend against . guidetti has the better movement .

I can back up my slating off with his performances (he was a little better tonight than usual).

    Yeah, I got that. Thanks.
But could tell you how far they ran, how fast, and where they ran. Someone said griffiths only makes simple runs out, into the channels.

Ground covered/distance run is a good indicator. It's pretty self explanatory.

Has anyone actually said he was "*"?

I said he was OK, and then got accused of calling him "*". I'm pretty sure most have either overrated his performance or said it was "average".

Not saying he's not a clever player, but a striker experiencing a drought isn't inclined to pass when a shots on.

Griffiths has very impressive movement, but it's not quite as good as Guidetti's. Guidetti pretty much always makes the right runs and is pretty much always in the right positions in the box.

Putting in hard ground and doing lots of closing down, competing for everything, tackling hard is what id consider a good work rate.

Good movement is the runs you make, whether you find space with them for yourself and your team mates. You can be the laziest * on the pitch but still have the best movement.

Forget it. I can't even reason with you. Or have debate. You're an ignorant little *

You can interpret "movement" in different ways.

Movement, when talking about a centre forward, is to do with positioning and running into channels etc. work rate is a separate idea. You could run all day long and cover 15k in a game but still have * movement.

So his * up is now being interpreted as 'clever'.

this. his choice of run is normally the right one , and a few times tonight the pass didnt come quick enough to reward his run ( or he was wrongly flagged off)

So good positioning, not movement is what you're talking about.

If he's constantly moving into channels he's covering ground. If he has good movement, but bad positional sense he won't be in the right positions.
